I agree that its time some sort of official denial (I hope) or confirmation of these recurring Petrov rumours. I find it a bit unsettling that the club hasn't moved to quash them already, so perhaps there is some truth in them.

As regards Petrov - we may come to a compromise, it will depend on how much money we've paid them, what wages he wants back at Celtic etc.. Best not to keep unhappy players. Either way I don't think Celtic will want to shaft us.

I think Celtic would love nothing more than to shaft us over this.Petrov insults the level of Scottish fitba throws a strop,gets a tasty signing on fee,and a handsome wage.Celtic get a great price.A couple of months later he goes straight back.Petrov makes a profit,Celtic make a profit.We have our pockits picked again.I think theres a feeling at Celtic that were poaching there players,Maloney for example and this would be one in the eye for us.If he goes back I hope they offer him a pitance.

I think we are all forgetting that under EUFA regulations a player can't return to a club within 12 months of leaving them. So, even if Petrov wants to return to Glasgow he can't got to Celtic..and as an ex-Celtic player I can't see Rangers being interested in him. So basically, he's screwed!!

jonah...petrov can return to celtic or any other club for that matter but under the regulations he cannot play for more than two teams in the season so he will be keeping the bench warm until the new season starts.

Football is set up with the players having all the power. Petrov is obviously suffering from the pace of the Premiership and playing in a struggling side (of late). He was a big fish up there. We should support him at the moment, before we hear what's going on.

So it must be a straight swap for Carew as I have not heard any price mentioned. Carew is actually pretty fast - especially for a guy of his size. But he, like Baros, does not have a good goal scoring record. I saw him against Real Madrid earlier this season in the Champions League and he was unplayable.

MON isn't at VP because he is currently where i am right now, Warwick University. He is doing a 2 day course. The OS hinted earlier at a bumper bulletin later on in the day, so i guess when the deal with carew has been finalised, both signings will be announced at the same time. I heard earlier that a press conference will be held later with both players. Hope this is the case.

I support Villa, if i was a professional footballer and it was choice to join Villa over Spuds, i would obviously join Villa, however if they did not come in i would obviously sign for the next club showing the most potential. I must admit i was a Baros fan(always rated him for Liverpool/Czechs/us last season) however we could really have stumbled across a fantastic swap deal here,Carew is basically a rapid-monster and could be perfect in the shape of team MON is building,Young signing tomorrow and think couple more in the bag but reckon we`ll never had heard of them but have been scouted by backroom staff.

Its obvious Villa have tied the Carew-Baros deal up first. No rush for Young as its a done deal and I would imagine ONeill would like to be present at the press conference. Nice to see a few cockeneys sitting up and seeing Villa will be challenging their clubs for the best players.

Boothroyd was on Sky going on about how they are gonna spend the transfer money from the Young transfer. I know there was a problem with Young wanting some pay-off for his time at Watford but I heard it was settled. I agree with a post that said this deal looks like it was concluded some days ago, medical and all. Perhaps that was why Baros was so poor the weekend. Didn't want to get injured. It takes a couple of yards off your pace and thinking.

Nah sod it, just get Randy to buy s.h.i.t.e. h.a.r.t. l.a.n.e and sell it to Tesco's. Nah the yid scum makes me laugh, he's delluded and it's pretty funny. Baros - I can't believe he's said what he has, but that's players nowadays. He is a clueless idiot, I am so happy with our swap deal. I liked him as player and was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, when at the time my scouse mates said he was trouble. Reyna joining some American team. With Berger showing some form it looks like the Gera deal may be left until summer if he doesnt move to another club. Sidwell is the obvious choice but requires him asking to leave Reading. Milner still hasnt signed a new deal with Newcastle so may be another option. Midfield will be the place ONeill will want to improve.
