Spurs Midfielder A Villa Target

According to The Times, Aston Villa have made a move for Tottenham midfielder Teemu Tainio.

The report claims Villa are already in talks with the Finnish attacking midfielder after the two clubs apparently agreed fees.

I find this one hard to believe, if they'd agreed fees the club would have announced it like they have over the Ashley Young transfer deal.

I briefly asked White Hart from Vital Spurs.

He said: 'He is fantastic, everything Aston Villa could wish for and more. I would recommend you buy him now, in fact if you like I'll pay his taxi fare for you or drive him up myself if that helps'.

Right, thanks for that, I think........

Tainio has started just 9 games for Spurs this season plus came off the bench once. He has 1 Premiership goal.

When fit he is a dynamo. And he gives all for the team and can score. I will be sad to see him leave Spurs.

Would be a great signing for your guys, not the most skill full player ever, but can play all acrsoss the middle and behind the strikers, will run and chase all day and can pick a pass and score goals. He also has champs league experience.

I hope he does not leave Spurs as he always gives 100% and he will play anywhere, a great player to have in any squad. Keeps picking up injuries of late so not at his best yet this season.

what do you meas of late, he only ever plays 4 games in a row, then gets injured, he has been the same since joining us. His style suits the prem, but unfortunately his body is not tough enough to handle his style IMO
