January Transfer Window Talk 3

Our previous January Transfer rumours thread got 219 and 225 comments and are now pretty much full January Transfer Window Talk and January Transfer Window Talk 2 so I've set up this new sticky to continue driving ourselves mad with links and gossip that we all know will probably come to nothing with total surprises arriving instead!

So far we have, amongst others, been linked to:

Goalkeeper: Matt Murray

Defenders: Richard Stearman, Greg Halford - Colchester, Phil Bardsley of Man Utd, Matthew Upson from Small Heath, Curtis Davies from West Bromwich Albion, Portsmouth right-back Andy Griffin, Oldham right-back Neil Eardley. Abel Xavier from Middlesbrough,

Midfielders: Joey Barton of Man City, James Milner of Newcastle, Shaun Wright-Phillips from Chelski, Zoltan Gera from WBA, Reading's Kevin Doyle. Ashley Young from Watford. Barry Ferguson from Rangers, Reo Coker from West Ham.

Strikers: David Nugent from Preston, Jermain Defoe and/or Robbie Keane from Spurs, Darren Bent from Charlton, Sean Maloney from Celtic, Freddy Eastwood from Southend, Kevin Davies from Bolton, Mark Viduka from Boro), Alan Smith from Manchester United, Craig Bellamy (old link from rumour thread), Peter Crouch from Liverpool, James Beattie from Everton, Marlon Harewood from West Ham.

And the list goes on...

So far in: Phil Bardsley, from Manchester United, on loan until the end of the season.

We are like a load of fish wives gossip gossip and more gossip. I hope we will be soon discussing our new signing.
still skeggy
Aston Villa are moving for FC Basle youngster Zdravko Kuzmanovic. The young Swiss midfielder was set to join Palermo yesterday for £1.5 million, only for Basle to bump up their asking price to £2 million. Palermo have pulled out of negotiations, with Villa being blamed for driving up Kuzmanovic's price-tag.
DeanoVilla
Young?...how young?..is he ANOTHER kid?
jonah
It really is a shame - trying to be patient is one thing but part of me just wants us to go out there slam down £9 -10m each for Young and SWP (maybe some staggered deal £7m then another £2-3m if we qualify for Champions League in next 3 years)....and while we are at it surprise us with a Barton or Carew!! Well I can dream!! I just really think it will make the difference. Our team just seems a bit tired, devoid of ideas and lacking the killer instinct at the moment. Add the return to Luke Moore and the option of the successful 4-3-3 formation we used at the start of the season qualification for Europe should happen. On the way out I know we need a big squad but providing we get the 4 players I mentioned (or more!!) we could afford to let Lee Hendrie go for £1m and Baros for £6m. Up the Villa!
deano.avfc
Gotta say if anyone thinks European qualification for a team in total transition is good then they are MAD, mad as Alex Ferguson eyeing up a Brazilian midfielder so BAD they named him twice. We need to finish in the top half brimming with confidence whilst in the summer the Tavern/Training Facility/Train Station re-vamp would get us noticed and send out good messages to supporters and investors alike...then O'Neill could start talking to new players who see Villa going places on and off the pitch...patience IS a virtue.
koolbill
p.s Just CAREW and SWP in this window and I'd be happy.
koolbill
http://www.talkceltic.net/forum/celtic-chat/16258-ramon-vega-zdravko-kuzmanovic.html thought you all might be interested in this.
mackaavfc
wouldn't mind Joey Barton I already signed him on Championship manager and another player I wouldn't mind is a Chillie Striker called Pinilla
Christo
Newsnow is linking us to all sorts now, Joey Barton, Burke from Rangers, can't take much more of this, gonna ignore everything now and get on with some work!!!!
jonah
some talk of Matusiack from Poland.
leftfoot
Whoooooooooooooooo??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quania
Ratoslaw Matusiak. polish striker. apparently he's alright. Baros for Carew. c'mon!
leftfoot
Bosko and Savo were apparently alright!! & now Rato!
Quania
Deals are normally done in the last few days. Im sure we will bring in that polish striker, maybe a centre half from leicester. Not to convinced about anyone exciting though.
leelindsay
Just a general wondering here......due to our need for a right-winger, a certain Mr. Beckham is sitting on the bench waiting for the end of the season. I know it is HIGHLY unlikely but would ANYONE fancy seeing him doing a job for us. Personally I dont but what if Young, SWP etc. did not join and 5mins before the deadline MO'N went for him.....? What would everyone think. I think that this position is a priority so that we can allow Gabby to play up front. We have a reasonable amount of width on the left but we need a Solano or Milner-type out right. Could he do a short-term job???
deano.avfc
Please not Bellamy. If they need to go to Liverpool for a striker again then a £13m cheque for Peter Crouch wouldn't go amiss.
baros10
Zdravko Kuzmanovic is 19 and Celtic were only prepared to offer about £1million apparently and wouldn't put him in the first team asap, so the deal fell through. Apparently.
Jamie1967
so..he is another kid then, we already got enough of those thanks
jonah
if anyone wants a laugh go on the newsnow sight and click on the link that says frank lampard at villa for medical.
tylervilla
koolbil - are you saying then that MON is mad? See his statement on avfc website today at www.avfc.premiumtv.co.uk. He's set his sights on qualifying for Europe next year. baros10 - forget Crouch he's going to Newcastle in exchange for Owen.
villacross
Currently we've got more chance of signing the lad on the Lampard pic than any of the other potential targets!!!!! He'd at least be quicker than Bellamy or have a better first touch than JPA
Quania
im so close to givin up the faith i cant beleive that we are now being beaten to signings and ambitions by newly promoted and relagation candidates west ham and sheff unt. everyone but villa has the ambition and risk to grab the player they want. we'll jus end up with one unnoticed lowly signin which will hype for a week and then die wen we realise how mediocre that signin is. WE NEED TO DO SUMFIN BIG EXPENSIVE AMBITIOUS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY QUICK!!
GABBY16
Put Fat Lampard in goal - we would not concede again all season ;)
mackaavfc
Word on the grapevine says Randy Lerner is actually Doug Ellis....It would explain lack of signings and general mucking about during transfer windows. Apparantly Doug secretly kept money back from the club during his reign to pay for the face and body trasnplants. Randy loves tennis too, its all a bit too close for comfort if you ask me........
son_of_cher
There have been NO big signings so far in the window (with the exception of BoaMorte for 5m - 31 yr old?). Until things emerge on Sky, very rarely do they prove fruitful. READING, WEST HAM, NEWCASTLE AND WATFORD - these are the teams coming up next and we should be doing better in the transfer window. We've had no bids accepted so far, that worries me (WHam had a bid for Young accepted for 9m if you read the reports, but he didn't fancy it)
tarzan
470 posts now - will we get another poxy loan signing before 500th? 500 posts is the biggest news we've had over the last two weeks!
tarzan
Barton available for 5.5m? Not to us I'm afraid, he'll go to one of the big four - its a closed shop they get the pick of the best as they are in The Champions League. We are desperate for European competition of any sort, otherwise we are going have to pay well over the odds.
tarzan
Think we are lookin at planA: SWP offer 10-12mil rejected by player cause london is the b all and end all.So switch to plan B:Young 8-9mil rejected by player same reason as last.Plan C:Burke 1-2 mill accepted by player deal complete 2359hrs Wed 31st. next Baros out plan A:Bellamy 12mill Pool wont let go without replacement Plan B:Keane 5-8mill spurs may not let go dependant on young or cisse joining.Plan C Polish guy 3mil accepted(if fulham dont get him first) deal complete 2358hrs wed 31st. Its going to go to the wire me thinks before any activity. (think we should cross our fingers we get some reinforcements soon)
sk1nner80
as the top 4 clubs aint signed anyone yet I guess we can call ourselves one of the top 5
Christo
I'm getting a fellin that we arent gonna buy no one. does anyone else feel the same
CPAVFC
yep,i think im going mad looking at all these websites and still nothing new.it is all i ever think about who villa are going to sign and i think im going really crazy now.i cant take much more of this frustration honestly like! carew, davies, swp please any one of them will do im not fussy at all just going bit insane through lack of transfer activity!
Belfast Villain
Damn it JF - DO something. You must know where MON lives, go tell him to sign someone! You're a TV personality and a future Big Brother contestant. Use your clout!
Gazvilla
I think DOL was absolutely correct when he said Villa fans were "fickle". Stop moaning. Haven't any of you been to a cattle auction? This is a football auction (worse the pity). The sale isn't made until the final bid, so all of you keep your nerve, have faith in MON and Randy. We probably won't have any good news until the last day or so.
villacross
Come on MON your havin a Steffi Graf now!!
mackaavfc
No-one else has signed anyone either, with the exception of boa morte to W Ham... so relax people. Things are going on behind closed doors and they take time. It will all happen in the last couple of days.
The Usual Suspect
Looks like Baros is off then according to SKY Sports, might be worth dusting my boots off at this rate.
mackaavfc
Reports now stating Young turned us down yesterday!
MON the Man
I think Eatsleep or whatever they are called have ballsed up stating Young has turned us down, all other reports suggest he has turned only 1 club down which is thought to be WHAM.
mackaavfc
MON what reports? There were also reports that he'd turned down West Ham, but they are still in for him now???? Hopefully the recent interest in Baros from other clubs may force Chelsea's hand. But they could afford to buy him and give some kind of rubbish Milner/Bardsley type loan. We'll end up with this Pole! I am feeling grumpy.
tarzan
Any bid for Young from West Ham must surelky depend on them off loading Mascherano to Redscouse.
tarzan
If we are looking to raid lyon we should go for sydney govou. he's a right winger who also chips in with his share of goals-worth looking at. were we not linked to him when mon took over? anything on the lee cooke front anybody?
Dee1
Nothing on Lee COOKE but we should sign him, he's PROPER good.
koolbill
this isnt in any way intended as biased comin from an australian but why is everyone all shaky in the thought of signing viduka. I mean hes inform lately, moer so than our whole team. Id be happy if we had him
AussieVilla
Sorry, but Viduka would eat us out of house and home. I rather take the Yak. Does anyone else worry about all the rumours going on with Bellamy? Honestly, I distrust him and think he's about as loyal as a stray cat. I think we'd have him for about one season before he got up and left for another club. But perhaps loyalty is a relic of a forgotten footballing age.
505anthony
Viduka?....its not 2001 anymore. He comes from a land down under - you better run you better take cover (before he gets hungry).
tylervilla
Lucas Neil off to West Ham instead of Liverpool because of his excessive wage demands - we are going to have to pay top dollar. Ben Haim off to Chelski.
tarzan
"pie me kangaroo down sport, pie me kangaroo down"
mackaavfc
we really are fickle. i dont worry about bellamy coming, because he scores goals, then if he wants to ***** off at the end of the season then so be it. at the moment though we need a goalscorer who's going to get us into the uefa, then we can buy someone to replace him. beggars, as they say, cant be fussy *****ers.
bobbyfett
Wher did that come from - Bellamy isn't for sale
tarzan
How can it be fickle? You either like him or you don’t. A little bit ironic, don’t ya think?
mackaavfc
We aren't fickle we are just ambitious and want the best for our team
CPAVFC
I'm not fickle, I just don't like him. Takes you back at bit that quote don't it.
Gazvilla
All of these fickle quotes have reminded me that Tal Ben Haim, who is now in talks with Chelsea, did come over for a trial at Villa before joining Bolton but our manager at the time, Dolly Daydream, thought he wasn't good enough.
pongo wearing
Have you seen Boothroyd's "buy to let" proposal for Young? I've seen it all now, I still can't beieve what he's said just now. Apparently he wants a team to pay £10m for young now, then let them have him on loan until the end of the season in their "fight" against relegation. Also have some of the fee upfront and/or players in exchange so they can get some bodies in!!!!!!! I have just posted this on the Young thread - but still can't believe it
tarzan
Iff Baros dont play on Sat he is going then. lets hope its not before we get someone in!
sk1nner80
who would be a realistic signing now for villa. yound and SWP seem to be drifting away.
CPAVFC
Villacross - I wasn't saying anything in reference to MON's statement about Europe as I wrote my comment before he said his...I was merely underlining the comments of others that we should qualify for Europe this season...which we don't have the squad for....MON is KING. Love live the King.
koolbill
CPAVFC - If we cant attract someone like Young then God (not P McGrath) help us.
mackaavfc
mackaavfc - can you see were im coming from though
CPAVFC
CPAVFC - yes i can. I think we may have to build up from the bottom and wait for the big players to come when we are a bit more sucsessful. Still after 20odd years of Doug i feel i can wait abit longer.
mackaavfc
mackaavfc - true true. I feel we are in a transition stage once we've past that we will be a force.
CPAVFC
As ive said before on Vital, Young will join Villa after the Watford game for around £8m. Watford are trying to get other clubs to bid for him to increase the price.
tarzansbrother
Just seen Milner score a cracker against Small Heath. Shame he ain't with us. McSheffrey looks handy against Prem opposition so it is worth giving the championship players a shot. Look what Cahill is doing a Everton. He came from Millwall. Cooke for me would be a decent buy. Depends though if they want silly money. As far as I know he's out of contract in the summer?
Gazvilla
Its only ever silly money if the player flops after joining. Take Martins for Newcastle at £10m. Well overpriced but after settling in looks a good buy. Having said that he looks rubbish tonite against Blues.
tarzansbrother
Tarzan- this seems to confirm that neither us, nor Spurs are prepared to pay £10mill in cash for Young. So that restores some sanity to the Young saga. Hopefully Spurs will bite. They've got quite a few players to off-load (which will probably save £2 or £3mill in wage costs) and they would probably be prepared to wait for his move to them at the end of the season. So expect this deal to be a “done-deal” in the next week or so. Seems a good fix for Watford, Spurs and avoids us wasting money on over-priced merchandise.
villacross
koolbill - I understand. You were quite correct in what you said. European competition in 2008/9 is unrealistic. MON honestly can't believe this so it's a disappointment to me that he seems to be starting to tell the fans what we want to hear rather than realism. Ellis, for years fell into that trap and for that, plus many other failings, lost our backing. There's no need for MON to go down the same path - he's too good for that. We just need him to continue to be honest with us and tell us "how it is".
villacross
Agreed Villacross. I hope we build slowly because as is evident with Newcastle, all the money and the best managers that should bring success do nothing if you are not frugal, patient and most of all realistic. I believe M'ON has been misquoted and meant that his expectations for any club must be Europe and that is understandable but he's not daft enough to think we will be serious challengers next year, just better than this year. I hope we go for Cooke, Keane, Carew and SWP by the way but i belive we will only get one of them...but who...?
koolbill
I don't see why qualification for the UEFA next season would be so unrealistic. Outside of the top 4, about 3/4 of the rest of the Prem are pretty equal. Now, CL next season would be a different matter ...
Beovilla
I believe that Europe would help decimate a squad that can't deal with standard Cups and League competition. Thrusting us into another competition would burn the youngsters out and kill off the older boys. We'd be hit hard - like Everton were after the CL exit. We need to be patient and buy 4 or 5 players of real quality over the summer and then watch MO'N stamp his footballing mark on us and not just patch us up as he's having to do...
koolbill
I must apologise for invading your site but just thought I would stick my oar in!! As a gooner I know how frustrating transfer windows can be. Yes we may be a top 4 club but for a few years we bought next to no-one each window & yet most of our team were linked with moves away. Its the reason we are now in transition. However I wouldn't worry about your current lack of signings, premiership teams never make a move for players until the 25th jan till the window shuts. You will probably find O'neill will sign 3 players on the last day when clubs become desperate to get them off the wage bill. In the summer I went to bed at around 11pm on the final transfer day & woke up to find arsenal had signed Gallas, Baptista & Denilson so whatever you do dont give up hope of signings!!
Ashburton Gooner
The worrying thing now is even the paper gossip has dried up!
MON the Man
tedious link time....rumours of chelsea making a bid for ronaldinho, im sure a sale of SWP would help them find the £50m they need.
tylervilla
We really missed a chance with Montella at Fulham!! Looks like a great signing and will certainly score goals for them!! I think him playing with Moore and Gabby on the flanks would have worked! OK maybe it would have been a loan and a move to London would have been his requirment but he would have been great. It just seems a better option than throwing £10m away at players far too expensive. Basically if a player is truely worth £7m+ he would be too valuable to a team in the top-flight, they would not want to sell, therefore making anyone that price is over-priced!!! The only player who would possibly leave a club and be worth £7m+ would be Shaun Wright-Phillips and I doubt he will come!! We really do have to go in with money to Championship sides now. If rumors are to be believed with previous links - we are wasting our time chasing Bellamy, Keane, Defoe, Bent etc. as they will not be sold!! Saying that, I trust O'Neill and think that his signings will be good and kept reasonably quiet. I do not think we are going to be taking 1st XI players from Spurs or Liverpool!!
deano.avfc
koolbill I couldnt agree more, well said. If we havent got enough players to last a premiership season imagine what an extra 15 european games would do to us. Patience is a virtue, but like everyone else I HATE WAITING! Im hoping MON snaps up some young championship players and turns them into world beaters
son_of_cher
The news has dried up...may start watching celebrity big brother
tarzan
There has to be a few players out there who are class but remain Undiscovered. Where do Arsenal find their Brilliant Young Players... Whats wrong with Villa discovering a Diamond in a lump of coal?
col8
yo to all of the villa fans. i think at the moment its the worst and best time to be a villa fan all at once. its bad due to the leauge position we are in and the recent run of results but at the same time its good because i have never seen villa linked to so many players for a long time. could it be signatures got in the last few days of the transfer window? hence the quiteness of news? and think of how many players we can get when proper transfer windows opens. providing we dont get relegated the futures bright. the futures claret and blue!!
Eaton_thevillafan
Eaton -keep eating the "oranges". Could be a new club slogan. Suggest it for the new crest.
villacross
del montie should be the new club sponsors Aston villa. Prepared..........with vitamin C
Eaton_thevillafan
The reason Arsenal in particular discover so many brilliant youngsters is because a few years ago they twinned with Beveren in the Belgen league. They comb places like West Africa for talent they might have an academy out there (amongst other places) and they give the youngsters to Beveren and they learn there trade there. And arrive in LDN a while later having gained experience.Proper infaustructure. While we were blowing money Bosco Balaban.
Pking
Weve just agreed a fee with watford its on the official website. This is a terrible waste of money.
Pking
Pking if this is true then maybe you are right. real excessive transfer fee. but on the flip side a young and pacey striker. can u imagine the speed of gabby and young if he signs.
Eaton_thevillafan
if O'neill is spending that much money on one youngster imagine how much we're gonna have in summer $£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$ times are looking good :) Up the Villa
VillaMalta
Pking are you a blue nose? on what basis do you form this opinion? Liverpool, WHam (who had a 9.65m bid rejected) and Spurs wanted this guy. We would have had to pay 13m plus Baros for SWP. I personally trust the management, this guy must be good. We now are buying Young talent with pace. I'm excited, this guy could be great I can't wait to see him in Claret and Blue
tarzan
Apparently its 8m plus add ons if its a success.Gold star for Tarzansbrother
Pking
We need help and we have the money. It's not as though we only have a certain amount to spend. Over the odds yes, but let the good times roll.
Gazvilla
Pking apologies there, but we've always missed out in the past (remember Keane). I agree with VillaMalta.
tarzan
I trust the manager too.I just think were paying seriously over the odds.No youngster has that much potential that he's worth this much.Liverpool,Spurs didnt match the asking price so they didnt want him that mutch.Seems like a panic buy.Hope to God Im proved to be wrong.
Pking
Pking my brother's just text me saying he had three posts on here telling us so! I think its great news
tarzan
Still hope we sign Keane.Missing out on him was one of the most frustrating moments I can remember.
Pking
Its not a pnic buy. MON does the research and this guy must be good. We've paid 2m over the top, but remember we paid that for the Twins!!!
tarzan
Now its the task of MON and RL to sell the club to him. On one hand there's supporters bemoaning the lack of signings, then on the other when the club agree's the asking price for an up and coming talent, those very same supporters decide to question and complain about the asking price. We need a reality check here. Good judges highly rate the lad, including MON. If he thinks he's worth splashing out the cash on, shouldn't we just bow to his knowledge and experience? If we dont pay the requested fee, rest assured someone else will. I think we've been small time too long, we're not conditioned to competing with the big-boys yet.
glensider
as he is youth he will be given the chance to grow (i hope) as at the mo we have too much on youth. all in all we need all the players we gan get our hands on. the news on the polish striker has gone dead cos i believe he would have been a good player. the size of the squad is too small and i think there was alot of pressure on pretrov to perform because of this. more players = less stress to perform.
Eaton_thevillafan
he aint agreed terms yet boys and although im not sold on him its a sign of MON and Randys intent to invest in the squad.fingers crossed.
sk1nner80
I dont think a set of fans has ever been more desperate for a signing then weve been. When will that kettle boil?
Pking
if it is true that AY is waiting for a top 4 club then its business as usual fellas. I think we have a much better chance of signing thim than west ham tho. he bprobably know half of the villa squad from the england under 21s. best news i have heard in 2 n half weeks!
Eaton_thevillafan
i can't remember who said it but whoever it was knew what he was talking about the longest journey starts but with a single step in our case a bit of a leap and why you being so pessimistic i never saw arsenal fans compalining when they shelled out 12 million for an unproven 16 year old....all the signs are there amazing proven manager wadded chairman we're about to sign a player who 12 months ago would have rather retired than join us and who was it we bought this time two years ago the twins and this time last year zilcho...come on lets get behind the team lets show the world what Aston Villa is all about i'm from Malta which houses the largest Manchester United supports club outside of England their are a total of about six Villa fans there i've been constantly ridiculed and made fun of but no now is the beggining its time for the lion to roar again and take its rightful place amongst the worlds elite but it can only happen with a dedicated fan base. I remember watching the liverpool-Milan game on tv and even three down they wouldnt stop singing coz they believed they knew and thats what willed that team on to win the cup enthusiasm breeds enthusiasm negativity breeds ***** In God we trust Up the Villa
VillaMalta
VillaMalta thats the attitude. You must of had a hell of a time over the last month with all those Manyoo fans.
Pking
Its definately a good signing, overpriced but still a good signing that has to be made for a number of reasons. MON wouldn't have signed him if he had limited funds, so this is obvously not going to effect his transfer kitty in the summer. It is about time that we spent money on good young plyers before they make it into the england team. If he didn't get anyone in now we could be fighting for relegation. This signing will give the players and fans a lift, get more people to games, and send out a signal to other potential players that we mean business. Pking i think its hard to understand that doug is gone but he has, this will not be our last signing. RL is not going to say that we have signed a player, now lwts go win the champ league, he is going to invest money and build a great team.
liamo1981
I have a tear in my eye god bless you villamalta!
sk1nner80
VillaMalta has got it in one - this could be the beginning of something huge. 9 -10 mil for a player who is only 21. perfect. look at barry for example. ok i know he was a cheap signing in comparision but look at him know. i hope mclaren opens his eyes and selects him again. look at ashley now and what he could become. big and pontential signings and a way into europe. Ashley at the mo would be mad to give villa the elbow. he could be the start of it all. at least he wont be stuck in a relegation fight with watford for much longer.
Eaton_thevillafan
heheh don't worry i told them watch out coz we'll probably be signing Ronaldo and Rooney in Summer lol
VillaMalta
As I told you all Ashley Young would be joining with Watford doing everything in their power to get the price increased as always happens with the transfer window. My source tells me that Agbonlahor also played a big part by telling him how good it was to play under ONeill. Players that can change games cost big money especially young ones. He can also play with both feet something very rare in the premiership. I have also been told the next possible signing.
tarzansbrother
Rooney reah but ronaldo dont deserve to wear the club colours lol
Eaton_thevillafan
At least the wait is over. this young issue has run and run we will know one way or other wot he wants to do.Time to focus our attentions else where defender striker and midfielder who do we think are reasonable targets. Think wes brown would be a good target and richardson.they are both of a quality that will improve our squad and i have no doubts that sir alex would recommend them giving us a go.
sk1nner80
Tarzansbrother exellent stuff I must say.Whos next.
Pking
I know he is small heath but upson may be worth a shot. forget SWP. he has been consigned to become a summer signing for any club who wants to stub up the cash. would love to see milner back at the club but thats aout of the window. would like to see Ratoslaw Matusiak at the club. would be a steal for 3 mil. Carew for baros as that transfer saga has more history than the royal family and craig gordon from hearts. as sk1nner said even wes brown has bags of experience and richardson can strike a ball sweet as a nut. they would be brill loan signings but i would like to see richardson at the villa as a permanent signing.
Eaton_thevillafan
Yeah ,milner would have been a great piece of business for 4 Mil at the start of the year. Carew our next signing, barton, and curtis from WBA. then we're looking good.
liamo1981
aint it funny how one piece of news gets every one going again. this could be it lads. young to go on as a villian. i really f£$£ hope so. there has not been one player mentioned that i would not like to see at villa apart from barton. seems too much trouble but he is real class. damm it!!! definatley carew.
Eaton_thevillafan
Id like to see the Polish lad join too.And Billy Sharp.
Pking
defo. just been checkin on the web and if the ashley young happens then lyon will "apparently"make a move for baros. mabye some deal for carew perhaps?
Eaton_thevillafan
That would be cool.Think Carew would have a point to prove after Fulham.
Pking
yeah. oh yea i remember he spent some time on loan i do believe. older wiser and more champs leauge exp. and not on that he is built like a brick S£$t house. scary to the defender eh?
Eaton_thevillafan
He definatley seems like an O Neill type player.Especially compared to Baros.
Pking
Hope he joins....the fee alone will alert other players and agents looking for a slice...Carew please...and Lee COOKE.
koolbill
Come on Tarzan's brother, out with it. You have my complete respect on Young, so while you're on a roll give up what you got.
srsmithusa
Yeah come on tarzans bro.
Pking
The player aint signed until the fat lady sings!!
jonah
C'mon tarzan's brother let's be having it?
Dee1
methinks we still need another winger to complement Young (if he does join). that's been the problem with petrov- no one of the same calibre, apart from Barry, in the middle to take the weight off his shoulders
Dee1
The Times is suggesting were are interested in Teemu Tainio, the attacking Finnish midfielder from Spurs
pongo wearing
Just read that Small Heath are looking for £6m for Upson - I think that they value him at £4m but have to give Arsenal 25% of anything over the £2.5m fee that they bought him for. Now that is security and good business sense. Just reminds me of Crouch. If we were to apply that kind of rule we would have got 25% of £5m (sold to Saints for £2m and to Liverpool for £7m) meaning an extra £1.25 - although saying that DO'L would have pi$$ed it up the wall!! Roll on the good times!!! PS. do we have any agreement with Man Utd on buying Bardsley if he looks any good in the next 15 games???
deano.avfc
Tainio would be an awesome signing but I dont think that story will go any further - he is getting regular games for Spurs and it looks like they will sell Davids - they will not let two central midfielders go when they need to rotate and allow Huddlestone a break.
deano.avfc
Keane, Carew and Cooke.....please. Not having it about Young until he signs...crosses and scores for us. Really happy about the bid though....IS EVERYONE LISTENING? DELIA WE'RE OVER HERE....OVER HERE....IT'S THE VILLA AND WE'RE COMING BACK!
koolbill
Ashley Young - hang on lads he hasn't signed yet but an awful lot of money for a "rookie". I re-ran the film of our game against the Hornets last year and he didn’t impress. I think he's only scored twice so far this season (Gabby's got 5) so that's not very impressive either. But hey.ho what do I know. But still think that SWP is better investment, even at twice the amount Watford are asking for Young. Also feel that Spurs are not yet out of it with cash + players deal and no doubt Spurs at present would be Young's first choice. Sorry to be negative but that's how I see it. WE;re not looking for promissing rookie's (we let Whits go for £300k,who's also done very well at U21 level for England. We want proven goalscorers in the Prem. like Robbie Keene or even Bellamy.
villacross
I have to agree Deano. I think the Tainio would be a great signing (if he stay's fit). Just need SWP and Bent to see us through till the summer.
MON the Man
Villacross - Bellamy a proven goal scorer in the prem? Check your records I'm not sure he has ever scored more than 10 in a season.
Gordonsleftboot
Alan SMITH on the cheap or YAKUBU at 10m? I'd take Yakubu. Bellamy is more than just goals...he would open the play up by pulling people out of position and he'd wind them up....but I'd still prefer Yakubu or Carew. SWP would be nice but we should go for Cooke as well. Young aint even here yet...fingers crossed as anybody new and fit with regualr U21 experience is welcome.
koolbill
I know! He's just texted me.

Reported on SSN that Villa have offered £3mill. for 27 year old Teemu Tainio. It states on Spurs website that he joined Spurs following the end of his contract with Auxerre in July 2005 and was one of the finds of the season, making 25 appearances in his first Premiership campaign, during 2005/6. The Finland international, who is capable of playing anywhere across the midfield, began his career at FC Haka in his homeland, debuting in 1996, before turning down a host of European clubs to join Auxerre in 1997.Teemu made over 150 appearances for Auxerre, helping them into the Champions League for the 2002-03 season and lifting the French Cup in 2003. Also took part in Guy Roux's side's run to the quarter-finals of the 2004-05 UEFA Cup. A hit in his first appearances in a Spurs shirt in the Peace Cup in South Korea, July 2005, Teemu settled in well at the Club, his tigerish displays impressing both team-mates and fans. He formed a key midfield partnership with Michael Carrick towards the end of the season and the only downside were a number of niggling injuries - mostly down to that energetic style of play. Could be cover for McCann, who is always greatly 0issed when injured. He has scored 2 goals and made a total of 38 appearances since joining them at the start of the 2005/6 campaign. Looks like another good addition if we sign him.
villacross
http://home.skysports.com/league.aspx?cpid=8 this is the link for Skysports.com - who obviously dislike Villa so much thay have Benfica on the page and NO VILLA. Disgrace, have a word FEAR.
koolbill
hey villa cross - whittingham was good for england under 21's but he played against poor teams and when he woz given a chance at villa he woz very poor. 350k is a better deal for him then him going for nothin in summer or if we kept him and he would just moan so ...
meakers
sorry but i do not think Tainio is any better than what we have already got. if MON is interested then so be it but i have watched alot of spurs games the past few seasons(my brothers a spurs nut) and Tainio is a very ordinary player. seems to be a favourite with Martin Jol though.
deemz
Just saw the Sky interview with MON. Didn't seem overly confident about Young signing. Could be Young doesn't want Watford fans having a pop at him at the Villa tommorrow. Still concerns me he hasn't signed. What does the boy want???????????
Gazvilla
he aint said no so there is always hope.Martin knows things can change at the 11th hour so prob is playing the whole thing down.Young rejected West Spam in a matter of hours so have faith. Villa cross young is playin in a team that maybe are not providing him with enough chances hence the 2 goals so far this season.Think he scored 25 in the championship(may be wrong) last season.Personaly not totally convinced with him myself but a whole host of clubs were interested so he must have a certain quality. Will he play tomorrow?
sk1nner80
I mean for watford
sk1nner80
sk1nner80 - my earlier statement that AY has scored 2 this season is probably wrong, I think he's scored 4 out of their total of 12. As we know they’re not an attacking side, so admittedly his 4 from 12 is better than Gabby's 5 goals out our total of 24. So I'm slowly changing my mind under MON's tutoring he could be one hell of a good player in a season or two, when we're in Europe. Regarding his price at £9.5mill, I suppose we can expect at least a 50% “hike” now the details of extra £500mill+ going to Prem. Clubs next season has been confirmed.
villacross
Houlier has officially said he wants Baros and that Carew will leave. A swop perhaps?????
Gazvilla
calm guys i dont think he has signed cos he has to travel to brum to have talks. PLUS he is technically a watford player and getttin ready for a game tomoz so i think it is jus the time of the bid late on thurs the reason for the non sign or talks. but if he does ooohhh im rubbin my hand in gleeee gabby and moore and young AVFC ARE GOIN TO BE SAFE
GABBY16
been on SSN that ashley young wont be playing tommorow due to the negotiations with MON.
deemz
If anybody thinks you sign a player within 2-3 days now is foolish. Even Chelsea cant sign players, look at Ben Haim. Would you play for Chelsea or Bolton? Watford are trying to milk as much as possible out of the Young deal even after we have agreed a fee they are now playing silly beggars delaying the deal and trying to make Spurs move in. If you had ONeill after you/could treble your wages/get big signing on fee/join a massive club on the up, what would you say? As Ive said before I was told this was a done deal before xmas but we still had to agree a deal with Watford. We are after two other players aswell!
tarzansbrother
tarzansbrother - well thats no secret - didn't MON say he would like to sign 5 quality players? And to say that the AY deal was a done thing before chrisy is just so much bull (until he actually signs) I think you just should come clean and state the player that mon wants to sign or admit you haven't a clue
myleftfoot
The other two players we are after are Gera from the Baggies and Sidwell from Reading. Both are available for the right fee with Sidwell available for a free if we wait until the end of the season. According to my source Villa have already made contact with Gera thru his agent and a £3m deal may be agreed. If Sidwell asks to leave I understand that Villa have first refusal if the deal is right.
tarzansbrother
tbh ive heard from sources in reading that sidwell is a done deal
Its All Over FC
Hasn't Gera gone to Boro?
tarzan
Tarzansbrother and its all over fc - were do you get all these sources from?
CPAVFC
Curtis Davis, Carew or Bellamy - now that would be majestic. Can you believe Man U are going to pay 20m for Hardcheese? My Man U mates thinks its ridiculous.
tarzan
On the subject of Young, youth is the key. Watching Arsenal and Blues (Arsenal 3rd team) recently its key for us to build for the future.
tarzan
according to newsnow ssn reported earlier than young has agreed to come subject to a medical. anyone hear this?
Its All Over FC
According to news.bg (Bulgaria) Petrov has handed in a transfer request.
Pking
It also says he's coach of villa so I dont know.Think theres something lost in translation.Probably shouldn't have posted that.
Pking
tarzans brother - Do you really think MON would sign Sidwell now, who's been ruled out by injury for another month at least? Anyway surely Reading will expect to extend his contract at the end of this season Also, Gera's only played half of last season and has played little more than 50% of their games in the Championship this year. What an inspiration if MON signs him; we really would be in the Championship next season. I thought we were looking to improve the quality of the squad in all positions? Are you having a laugh?
villacross
Villacross stop talking out of your backside. Sidwell is quality and has been very good for Reading since joining from Arsenal. Would you extend your contract with Reading? Also I saw him play last week and he aint injured(Kitson is). Gera again is quality and was Albions best player when they where in the Prem. Yes he has had injury problems but is now fully fit and not playing because he wants to leave. Who do you want then? Hargreaves for £20m? Lets walk before we can run.
tarzansbrother
tarzansbrother – Re. Sidwell. MON will not be interested with a player in his late twenties with only experience in lower division football since leaving Arsenal’s youth set-up. Would you play him in preference to Davis, Osbourne or Gardner or even Hendrie?
villacross
Did anyone watch Sky News late last night? Ashley Young's not playing today and has agreed to join us at £9.65mill. Has medical on Sunday and will sign on Monday. Let's all keep everything crossed till the ink's dry. Two down, three to go!
villacross
Villacross to be fair he has only just turned 24.
mackaavfc
Villacross you do talk some rubbish. Davis has been poor this season(but still an excellent player),Osbourne is not ready to play every game yet,Gardner has never done it yet(been unlucky with injuries) and Hendrie well lets just say I hope he leaves very soon. So my answer would be yes I would play him in front of who you have mentioned. Has learned his trade thru Arsenal youth and played very well in the championship last season. This season again has been very good in a reading team that have surprised alot of people including me.
tarzansbrother
sidwell would be a class act. good and solid in the middle of the park along side mcann or petrov (when he rediscovers his form) give barry the option down the left as there is were is think he is most effective example the goal againt spurs - cuts in accoss the left, by passes 2 players and hammers it in. still our midfield and def is pretty good but we need a new strike force. JPA and MB just dont cut it any more. MON needs a striker as well as ashley young. the combined pace of ash and gabby just leaves me thinking of carew in the middle to power it home because of his strenth. pace and power scare defenders. i believe that is what we need. Tainio could be a good signing but he could be another berger and all ways crocked. We are getting there fellas!!!!!!!
Eaton_thevillafan
I think we need a centre back and a centre midfielder too. Mccann needs another defensive midfielder to relive some of the pressure off him as our only defensive midfielder. Sidwell would walk into our midfield as it is at the moment. Our young players have done well but i doubt many will end up in the team if we are going to try to push for a champions league spot. From what i have seen of Osbourne is not good at all, likewise with Gardiner , Davis is good with a bit of potential, Ridgewell is 22 now if he was going to be a great defender we would have noticed it by now, and Cahill is the other one with Potential, Gabby looks the best and even he has a dodgy touch, but he scares the crap out of defenders with his pace. But from what i have seen they are not world beaters, and will need a lot of improving. Its not as though they are 17 or 18yo and coming in like some of the young players in the premiership. Having said that, i hope getting a few players in will help them, relieve the pressure on them. but i have a bad feeling that most of them wont cut it.
liamo1981
Or Villa even :-)
Hoss The Villain
sky are reporting that MON has said that Young has agreed to join Vills
Hoss The Villain
The story on the BBC is quoting MON as saying that Young has verbally agreed to join Villa...Hallejuliah!
Thegreatdando
After listening to the match today I concede that maybe we should swap Baros for Carew - somethig that Houllier is keen to do apparently. Someone powerful and dominant in the air would be a lethal combination with the pace of Moore, Agbonlahor and Young.
joerothuk
As I said everyone Young would sign after the game.
tarzansbrother
He's (AY) on the way now and he would never have beeen allowed to sign until today's game was out the way. Keep the faith, good times are around the corner!! PS the biggest thing about this signing is the signal of intent that we're back in there ready to pay the dough. Well done Randy !!
PENFOLD17
Rate Gera and Sidwell, bring em in. Today proved though that the biggest problem we have is someone with that lethal knack of hitting the onion bag. Midfield can possibly wait until the summer, but please oh please get us a quality striker NOW !!
PENFOLD17
Lets not count our chickens, nothing is set in stone yet as it's all verbal. Though Aidy Boothroyd has said he's going for a medical on Sunday and while he didn't name the club he did say 'I think you know who it is'. I think this could be the end of the January spending now.
Thegreatdando
Baros got booed off today so that surely means he's leaving. The way we played today with the long balls didn't come off just because of the fact that 1. He wasn't perpared to get hurt. And 2. He's rubbish at holding the ball up and winning flick ons. carew would be the perfect replacement.
CPAVFC
Notice Carew wasn't even on the bench for Lyon today, albeit for a French Cup game, so a number of players may have been rested, but that didn't stop Houllier playing people like Fred, Malouda, Govou, and Squillaci, why would he not have him in the squad at all?
Thegreatdando
Carew for Baros until the end of the season would probably suit all parties,i guarantee Baros will go to Lyon and score at least 1 goal per 2 games-another forward that we just couldn`t get the best out of.Disgusted that he got flak from fans today as i thought he worked his nads off and without him last season we`d have gone-they all love Angel and slag Baros??????????????? Confused.
ASPINALL
Aspinall - are you suggesting it'll nbe a loan arrangement? The noises from Lyon suggests it will be a staright swop deal. Writing Angel off and knowing that Baros has never had his heart on Villa, this will be the best deal for us. A strong player holding the ball up for the pace of Gabby, Moore and Young. What pace! It'll scare the pants off teams. But..... we shouldn't be booing him. It doesn't create a positive atmosphere for the surrounding players who may think they're next if they make a mistake.
Gazvilla
Think we should loan baros for Carew.Baros will definatley get a few in France and push his value up.
Pking
Personally, we need to be aiming higher than strikers who work their nads off. (note sly dig at Bellamy link here). I'd rather have strikers who put the ball in the net or at least make the opposition keepers earn their money.
PENFOLD17
I agree a Villa player should never be booed but there was alot of fustration today. The way Baros plays only adds to this and when paired with the show pony that is called Angel the end result was shown today with both players being taken off. What dissapointed me most was our midfield display which was very poor. Time for a striker and midfielder to come in with Petrov back fit.
tarzansbrother
I think it's agreed that we need a goal scorer now, but I think it was out of order to boo Baros, he's actually played well for us in the last 2 games, scoring and setting up goals against Utd. It's little wonder that his heart is not set on Villa if he's going to get booed by his own fans.
Thegreatdando
I`d think a loan deal would be deffo the best for MON,i`d seen Carew terminate a couple of teams last season, once for country and once for club and thought "love him instead of Angel"looks like the Baros enigma will be the one to go though, might be best to see how Carew adapts before agreeing straight swap-lot`s of really poor players have scored buckets in France ( yet Ronaldinho / Okocha etc struggled ? )
ASPINALL
Tarzan'sbrother - What news of the Sidwell & Gera links?
Thegreatdando
Penfold - Who you got in mind that's within our grasp now. Not in 3 years time when we're in Europe. Now. With our league position as it is and a whole empire being rebuilt. By the way, the link to the Reading director of football may have been overlooked but it's the small detail like this that will make us great again. You have to build on a solid foundation and that's what our new CEO (20 days in the job) is obviously doing.
Gazvilla
Thegreatdando Villa are in for both Sidwell and Gera thats for sure. Both played today in winning sides so as usual in the transfer window its difficult to see them coming unless like the Young deal it all happens within a few days(something thats new to us since Ellis sold up). Without knowing anything else I personally think a striker will be the most pressing deal but who goes? Baros to Lyon on loan looks likely.
tarzansbrother
Baros to Lyon on loan is a win-win for us....if he goes and scores goals he can come back and we'll know he still has it in him and hopefully it'll build up his confidence, if he doesn't then we know we need to offload him as he can't cut it.
Thegreatdando
Just get rid of Baros he is crap. He might do well in France but it wont push his price up that much because he has failed in england.
liamo1981
Like to see Carew and Baros as an option rather than either/or,getting rid of Baros will come back to haunt us a`la Crouch,Savo. We Villa fans have short memories-i even stopped slagging J.Llloyd because of his performance against Blues last season as all of the players that day proved what it meant to play for us.
ASPINALL
carew + 2m = baros. or.... straight swap loans?
leftfoot
baros for carew. just need a midfileder and a defender and then we are set up until summer.
Eaton_thevillafan
on the real, ive never seen or heard of carew up until recently, but ive heard only good, so id be happy to get him in. Id like to keep Baros, but id like to win more so. And to win you need strikers that will score. Id much rather get rid of Angel than Baros, but still either way
AussieVilla
Gazvilla, choice of 3 for me - Defoe (wishful thinking), Nugent (Bent steeped up OK), or Darren Bent (cos he won't wanna go down with Barrow Boy Pardew.)
PENFOLD17
Penfold - I did say now and no wishful thinking. NDefoe is a no go and Nugent wants to see the year out with Preston. So that leaves Darren Bent who I think is available but at what cost?
Gazvilla
the only thing that worries me about carew is look at the amount of clubs he has been at, 5 clubs and he is 28, it just sounds like he a good player but is he committed and loyal to the cause. I hope so because we need that sort of striker. I want to know why lyon are prepared to take a lazy waster like baros but get rid of carew which everyone is praising, does not make sense to me
meakers
Why do some poeple still want to keep Baros?? He has been poor in the vast majority of games he has played for Villa!! Yesterday's performance from both him and Angel were a disgrace...probably the worst I have seen from a pair of strikers in the nearly 35 years I have supported Villa...dump them both and bring in Carew and a hungry striker with potential from a lower division....there i no way we could be worse off!!
Rickymeister
Its a shame to see another player with such ability as baros fail at Villa. But he hasn't delivered, this season and never wanted to be at Villa it was a route out of Liverpool for him.I just wish we took the money Hamburg offered in the summer.Angel has claret and blue in his veins at this stage, but I cant think of many other clubs where a striker could get away with an average of about 9 goals a season for 5 years. We show too much patience with some players.Rickymeister is spot on.Id like to see us gamble about 2 mil on a top scorer from one of the lower leagues to supplement Carew. Also Vassell was class yesterday, letting him go for 2 mil was a joke.Maybe we should try get him back.
Pking
let vassell and crouch go for peanuts, how short sighted was that?!
The Fear
yea but remember doug ellis was that old that peanuts are al his system can digest so was a tasty bargin for him.
sk1nner80
Has Young signed yet? If not why not? Curtis Davis anyone got a class afro going would complement mellbergs beard.think id like that polish fella and carew. wit richardson too please Randy
sk1nner80
well young is havin second part of medical tomorrow and will sign for 4 and 1/2 years according to sky
meakers
Young Bellamy carew davies will do 4 me!
Newman
Carew is no better than what we already have. If he was a regular goal scorer - do you thinjk he'd be part of a deal in January? No I didn't think so. I'd pay over the odds and sign Bent - His goals will repay us in the medium to long term and he is a proven premiership goal scorer - no gambling there. Aren't we about to pay way over the odds for Young?
myleftfoot
Do for me too! At least there's a while to the next game now and we can concentrate on the next few signings.
tarzan
Rickymeister - hang your head in shame my friend, worst performance you`ve seen in 35 years from a pair of strikers ????? Oh my god, what planet ??? All the people coming on and wanting Carew i bet haven`t even watched him play, hilarious. You have to keep Baros unless you`re replacing him with a Defoe or someone of that proven quality.
ASPINALL
ASPINALL, got to agree with you there - even if it's a loan to the end of the season (Like Larsson for Man U). If we can't get Bellamy, Keane or such like - its not worth bothering. The striker position is our biggest gap at the moment. Bobby Zamora may be worth a bid?
tarzan
sweet 200th post
VillaMalta
I`d love Arteta at the Villa, allow Gabby to play up front and learn his trade in that position, also Smith/Carew on loan so we can have a look for 6 months - sounds simple !!!! Just think how many decent players we`d have had if Randy was here 5 years ago - think about the future Villa fans - he has a transfer/wage budget under NFL rules so he`ll continue to invest heavilly in transfers if he can see results at Villa as Browns are panties.
ASPINALL
looks like young is going to sign tomorrow. baros will wanna go to lyon (according to i cant keep a secret paska) and will hope fully go some time next week. does any think we should try upson from the blue scum or tainio from splurs? will carew even wanna come to villa? i think he will. I will say thanks to baros for scoring 2 goals against the scum last season. kinda reminds me of savo in the 1996 leauge cup against leeds. played when it really matered and not consistently. shame. Hope fully young will be our next Dwight yorke (and wonf f%k off to manu for 10m)
Eaton_thevillafan
So whens the next thread gunna start? Or better yet, the next rumour, or even better, the next sigining
AussieVilla
Tarzan - i was going to write a structured and constructive comment, but i just cant BOBBY ZAMORA, Ha Ha Ha Ha.
mackaavfc
Right i have stopped laughing at the Bobby Zamora recomendation, and i have notcied Mellburg has been linked with a £2m move to Levante. If Newcastle are offering £9m + Titsup Bramble for Curtis Davies then i think the mighty Ollie is worth at least the same, not that i want to sell him.
mackaavfc
Bring Vassell back..oops, sorry, I'll get me coat.
jonah
The striker position is a real problem (and expensive one!), a stop gap until the end of the season may make total sense. You laugh at Zamora, BUT he's done OK when ever given the chance in the premiership at the hammers. So how many goals has Zamora scored compared to Angel & Baros? I'm looking at all possibilities - who's available. We had the same issue with Crouch when he was here - everyone couldn't believe we got 2m for him and now they moan on about why we let him go. Smith on loan is another option, but he's not a goalscorer and has just come back from a horrific injury. I know MON wants Bellamy BUT the Dippers won't sell him. Nugent's not for sale and unproven in the Premiership. What's this Carew like? We need someone who can finish.
tarzan
Beattie?!? I remember the endless threads & campaigns about how we should have signed him a year or so back! These strikers can be really expensive gambles.
tarzan
It's all gone quiet on the Freddie Eastwood and the dude from Scunthorpe links - now we've splashed the cash on Young! Come on guys give me some names!
tarzan
Carew, who played under Rafael Benitez for Valencia, was once a target for West Bromwich Albion. - HE SOUNDS BRILLIANT (sic)
tarzan
We should just break the bank for Darren Bent.
mackaavfc
What does "break the bank" mean? What do you think we should pay for him? There's no reason why Charlton would sell until the summer (they could still avoid relegation). Couldn't attract Collins John from Fulham. Noticed the Petrov and Samuel stiries have been rehashed this morning as we are in a period of "no news"
tarzan
£13m should get you D Bent. All hypathetical now as i have it reliable that Carew is at Bodymore Heath. Watch this space.
mackaavfc
Is this Carew any good? I don't know a thing about him, but from what I am reading on here, those that do don't rate him.
jonah
Milan Baos is the January 'pin-up' on the Villa calendar, some forward thinking by someone there being as how it don't look like he will be here in february :-)
jonah
Jonah, I have no idea either, I think at the moment we are after players who are better than Baros and Angel. I think we should not dismiss this guy too quickly (give him a chance) and remember we clamoued for the services of James Beattie not so long ago
tarzan
Jonah – he looked quality for Valencia in the Champions League a few years back. Slipped of the radar abit since then though, have to say anything is better than Angel (who is doing a very good impression of Ian Dowie this season) surely???
mackaavfc
Just heard the Petrov debacle again on teamtalk.com - If it is not true he NEEDS to come out through a professional source (avfc.co.uk or sky sports) and say so. I cant see it being true with the Martin O'Neill relationship etc. but he needs to do something or HE will be boo-ed at the next game!!
deano.avfc
macka: IF he is better than Angel (and I don't know anyone who isn't) then YES
jonah
once again we've filled the allocation, so will start a transfer rumours part 4, we could get it so there are more article comments in each thread but it slows down the page too much!
