Villa miss-fit out on loan.

Villa miss-fit Eric Djemba-Djemba has joined Burnley until the end of the season.

25-year-old Cameroon international Jumper Jumper, who moved from Manchester United after Sir Alex Ferguson spent a week on his prayer mat hoping someone would take him off his hands, could make his debut against Southampton tomorrow.

Clarets boss Steve Cotterill told their official site:

'We have signed Eric on loan until the end of the season. He has not played a lot of football, but obviously on the back of Micah Hyde leaving we had to move to do something. Eric has good pedigree and we are hoping that once we get him fit he will be a good addition to the squad for the rest of the season. It shows something about the boy's character that he is prepared to drop down from the Premiership to play for Burnley.'

This panic buy typified the purchases made over the last few years (to try and placate the fans/manager). Although you could argue (like many before him) he was never given a big run in the team.

nice to see he has found his level, you never know he might decide to get his match fitness back and fight for a place at Villa, we shall see

Eric has good pedigree, so doe's my Springer Spaniel, she is priceless unlike DJx2 who for 1.5 million has been the biggest waste of space Villa have ever had the misfortune to buy.

MON is getting pretty ballsy sending all these guys out on loan with our already threadbare squad, but victory favors the brave. But the Djemba twins to Burnley??? I think that's the equivalent of MON saying to him, "Listen, I'm just sick of looking at you." Poor sod. I imagine it's only a loan deal because Burnley want to make sure they're not stuck with him. What a waste of a shirt. How many appearences did he put in for us? Four? Sigh.

Maybe this loan move will be a severe wake up call for Mr Djemba-Djemba. If he indeed ever had 'it', he has certainly never shown 'it' at either Old Trafford or Villa Park, and I cant help but feel that the guy has a huge attitude problem, and believes himself to be a much greater talent than he really is. Burnley could prove to be a stepping stone to better things, or it could see him completely slip into oblivion. His choice, but he sure has totally wasted his opportunities to date.

The second worst signing in British football ever behind Balaban.
