Unoial Villa News...

More rumours that Villa are looking at Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy, some say that Liverpool would sell at £9million but other reports suggest we'll test the water with a £6m bid. Hogwash probably.

The Sun say Milan Baros is a target for Spanish club Levante. WHY? Baros has already reportedly turned down approaches from Real Sociedad so why would he go to La Liga strugglers? Other reports still suggest Chelsea might be interested. Wish there was a report saying Baros is not for sale because we are going to build a big squad of quality players here - we are though, aren't we?

Manchester City and Newcastle are both said to be keen to jump ahead of Villa in our bid to take Shaun Wright-Phillips on loan until the end of the season.

According to The Mirror Watford have told Villa they would need to increase their £6.9million bid to around £9million to prize away 21-year-old attacking midfielder Ashley Young. Aidy Boothroyd said: 'His heart and mind are here - £7m is not enough. Ash makes goals from all over the pitch.'

Tonight's reserve game v Fulham is OFF as Fulham can't field a full team due to illness and injuries.

Lee Hendrie has been linked to Sheffield United who were said to be interested in the midfielder before he took off on-loan to Stoke.

Luke Moore could be close to a return ahead of schedule following shoulder surgery last year. The striker aggravated his shoulder problem in the match against Chelsea last September. The 20-year-old said: 'My shoulder feels good and I'm ahead of schedule. Hopefully I'll be back earlier than people thought. I haven't got a date but I am looking at some time this month. Thought for the day: Don't invite drug addicts round for a meal on Boxing Day. They may find the offer of cold turkey embarrassing or offensive.

WHy on earth would Chelsea want Baros? I've said before I think he's a good player and would do very well at a club he actually wants to do well for..... but Chelsea? Pull the other one. Since when did they buy mid table teams cast-offs?

Still plenty going on down at the grand old stadium to keep us fully interested and focused as this special January transfer window unfolds. Good news about Luke, the arrival of new face number one, the fact that we seem to be out there competing in the transfer market, the possible return of lil Lee (my opinion). Yes, lifes good when you're a Villan.

As they used to say, having Luke back will be like having a new signing.

Wish the stadium would start filling up steff. We should be pulling in more than we are.
