Baros Doesn't Like Basque Outfits!

Milan Baros, he say no!

Villa striker Milan Baros has turned down a transfer to Spanish side Real Sociedad. According to his agent Pavel Paska:

'Milan has not accepted the offer from this club. There will be no more talks.'

He would however consider other moves after failing to nail down a regular starting place as Villa, his agent added:

'If a player does not play regularly, he has some thoughts in his mind on how to resolve the situation. If there is an appropriate offer, we will consider it.'

Our last poll asked what should be done with Milan Baros, the results were as follows:

16% said he was quality and the team should be built around him. Another 44% said he should get a chance but they weren't totally convinced.

38% said he was average at best and that he should be sold and 2% sat on the fence with an unsure vote!

Ref his agent's comments -'If a player does not play regularly, he has some thoughts in his mind on how to resolve the situation. If there is an appropriate offer, we will consider it.' Baros has got a problem. It will obviously have been noted that he's not MON's first choice striker -that must send out a signal especially as we're so bereft of other quality options. So if Baros want to move to another top-flight club a drastic change of attitude and endeaovour is required. He's undoubtedly got the ability - he's just got to grow up and start to earn his corn! I'm sure MON would love to feel justified making him the No1 contender - but it's just down to him.

Milans profile is on the decline, and there's only himself who can arrest the slide. He hardly set the world alight at Anfield, and no one would surely disagree that he hasn't done himself justice at Villa Park. Clubs that would previously have snapped him up without delay are now somewhat hesitant. He's going to have to prove himself all over again, or move to one of the lesser lights of European football if he wants out of Villa Park so bad.

Well If he needs a hand carrying baggage to the taxi Im your man Milan, but on a serious note, how will him staying at Villa affect the clubs wage bill with regards to getting new players in? He has to be on 20+ thousand a week, you could have a decent player for that ammount of money every week.

Thought he was on £35k+?

http://www.chelsea.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=45495 Think he'd get 20 a season for them with a run in the team as they'll get the service to him. Think the guy is a star myself.
The Fear
Good point actually, he finishes loads for the czechs and they have quality midfielders, id definately settle for a SWP swap though
son_of_cher
well he cant play against us again this season if he did go.Agree wit fear think in a chelski side he would get goals and he is available to play for them in europe. We will see tomorrow if he is in the squad to play would cup tie him and jose wants this trophy only domestic title he has missed out on.oh and best beard but there is only ever one man for that prize mighty MELLBERG
sk1nner80
saw in the paper that beard of the year was monty panesar (mellberg came in close second!)
son_of_cher
The mighty bearded one second!!!!!!!! disgraceful, re Baros, agree with The Fear he would fit into Chelskis style of play, or in other words a decent supply from midfield, the guy can play, just needs the service, the fact that Jose is interested should speak volumes. but I would agree that he doesn't appear to want to play for us. It'll be over soon
steff_the_villan
This could well be one of those cases where the player hollds the club to ransom, he demands to go on the cheap and takes a cut of the discounted price... Villa will be done like a kipper again.
