Lawrensen & Mystic Mug Predict Loss

Mark Lawrensen says of Villa v Chelsea:

'Chelsea have to bounce back at some time and I think it will be at Villa. The home side have Gareth Barry suspended for this game and his influence will be missed by Martin O'Neill's side. Apart from that, Villa have been on a poor run so I can only see one outcome.'

Prediction: 0-2

Mystic Mug unfortunately is also going for the first loss prediction of the season saying 2-1. Miserable git!

Villa (from): Kiraly, Hughes, Mellberg, Cahill, Gardner, Petrov, McCann, Davis, Baros, Agbonlahor, Ridgewell, Bouma, Osbourne, Angel, Olejnik, Whittingham, Samuel, Djemba-Djemba.

Chelsea (from): Hilario, Hedman, Geremi, Carvalho, Ferreira, Boulahrouz, Bridge, A Cole, Essien, Lampard, Diarra, Makelele, Drogba, Shevchenko, Kalou, Wright-Phillips, Mikel.

Our latest poll asks for your predictions and feel free to put Lawrensen and Mug (both the same surely!?) right in the article comments.

If Lawrenson had been right with all his predictions this year how many points would Villa have? I'd say about 10/12?

Villa to win 2-1, got to happen sometime, UTV
steff_the_villan
Villa to earn a hard fought draw.
col8
The odds seem heavily stacked against us, but here's an opportunity for us to get back on track, while wiping the smug grin off the faces of the so called experts who are gloating about the fact that the Villa bubble has supposedly burst. Come On You Lions!

Computer says YES!!
jonah
I pray for a draw.......... for once
Christo
Anything out of this game will be a bonus, with Manure slipping against Newcastle the Incentive is clear for Chelski to claw back three precious points on the current league leaders.
col8
1-1 I reckon. Cahill to give us a fluke lead at half time and Drogba to equalise for them in the 70th minute.
DeanoVilla
gabby to exploit the shakey defence and take us 1-0 up before tyler comes off the bench to make it a 2-0 thrashing. Lets be honest a draw would be a great result.
tylervilla
could this be the game to roll out the secret weapon......the cahill ridgewell strike partnership? dont worry about the defence angel and baros can cover.
tylervilla
Not Angel in defence please, last time he was around our own box he scored a great header to help those Spurs to$$ers
xfranc
fancy your chances to take a draw out of this one.....
ernshaw
We got the draw last season, might be a turning point tonight with all 3 points. You never know, this would also strengthen Man U.'s position -v- Chelsea and make it a bit easier for us to take them apart next week at Old Trafford. Anyone fancy Mellberg to get a brace tonight?
villacross
Hendrie comes off the bench....and its 2-0 Villa!!
jonah
Lawro + prediction = *******!! (allegedly!) Last week he predicted 7 out of the 10 games would be 2-0...and surprise surprise there were no 2-0 scorelines! Again he predicted 3 scores of 2-0 for new years day and no game ended 2-0!! What a muppet!
Rickymeister
Oy Rickymeister NOOOO, how can you compare the wonderful muppets with a completely useless ar*ehole like him, what have they ever done to you.
steff_the_villan
I just pray that something happens in January because, at the moment, this squad is only going one way - DOWN
Steve64k
Woot! Lawro wrong again - but shockingly so was Mystic Mug!
xfranc
Steff please accept my sincere apologies! All other words i wanted to use to describe Lawro were censored!!! Ok I will just call him a banker and a tisser!! And ar*ehole is pretty appropriate too!! UTV SOTC
Rickymeister
This love affair Lawro has with our club is starting to worry me.
mackaavfc
accepted, I obviously thought that such a statement was penned in error, due to tiredness, making of ye old merry, or a 24 hr bug, glad you have found some replacements but the fact is whatever we call him can only ever be a seen as a tiny fraction compared to the expletives that come out of peoples mouths when the said To**er is mentioned, hopefully his moustache will have enough of him and decide to crawl into his mouth and lodge itself in his throat, useless pile of festering, vomit inducing, fu**ing ****ing piece of ****
steff_the_villan
Has Lawro moved to Birmingham? Its just I thought I heard someone saying Lawro loved it up Bourneville Boulevard?? I cud be mistaken of course in case any lawyers are reading this!!
