Lee Hendrie On The Wind Up?

Colchester midfielder Kem Izzet (is Izzet his surname or just the way he finishes every sentence like half the kids today?) has had a go at Stoke's on loan Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie after their 3-0 win last weekend.

Izzet says that lil Lee goaded him at half time asking if he would like to wash his Ferrari.

He said: 'What can you do? If he's got a Ferrari, he's got a Ferrari. I just said, 'Give me a sponge and I'll wash it if you like'. I hope it's a red one he's got, otherwise I won't be happy. It was a bit patronising the way he tapped me, so I did the same back. I may have tugged his hair a bit too, but if you give it out you have to take it. If he wants to talk about his money he's more than welcome. We do our talking on the pitch and we beat them 3-0 so that sticks it up him a little bit.'

Adding: 'Sometimes Lee doesn't help himself. He reacts to things, whereas if he was just to concentrate on his game he's a very good player. He sometimes gets caught up in the moment, and that's maybe why he is where he is just now.'

He'll never change now though will he? He's often said he'll grow up, but seems doubtful. Wonder if he got his car washed in the end and how much he was paying!

I asked Mr Vital Stoke about how Hendrie was doing and he said: 'Lee has been a bit quiet recently, but still playing ok - maybe trying to stay under the radar so that O'Neill doesn't sell him in January! Went to see them play away at Coventry the other week and the Cov fans were giving him and Berger plenty of stick.'

Hmmm, starts good then go quiet, sound familiar?

Ill wash his car - anyone got any wirewool?
mackaavfc
That comment is just typical Hendrie. When will he ever grow up? Hope he goes for good in Jan.
DeanoVilla
Agree Deano - Comments like Hendries make a mockery of the majority of fans who work 45 hours a week in a factory to pay the scum bags wages!!!!
mackaavfc
Oh for god sake! Such comments are always made on a football pitch (and probably far worse)! Izzet should keep his gob shut and not try to get Lee into trouble! If he wants to wash a Ferrarri, I'm sure his brother Muzzy has made enough cash in his career to have one!
Tierney
Tierney - take it you have a Ferrari?
mackaavfc
Its the Lee we know and love (or hate), depending on which way you swing. Me? I'd have him back at B6 in a heartbeat, believing 100% he's still capable of doing a job for us. Maybe things will change either in January or during the summer, in that we have suitable alternatives and options, but as of right now Lee would be better off at Villa Park competing for a first team place.

Overpaid bunch of *******s Footballers in general... financially over rewarded and comments like Hendries alienate them still further

I wish mackaavfc!

I heard that a tramp called at his house one day and Lee said he'd give him a meal if he whitewashed the porch round the back. The tramp came back an hour later and said "I've finished, Mr Hendrie, but I have to tell you that isn't a Porsche, it's a Ferarri!" (Boom, boom!!)

He can say what he likes on the pitch, it`s his game and the way he conduct`s himself off the field I don`t like. But do we have better right sided midfield at the mo? If he`s staying after January, I`d have him in the squad. Unless Martin O`Neill know`s something we don`t?
Fletch
what an asshole, definitely dont want him back now
AussieVilla
This is coming from a man that pays one of his mates twenty odd thousand a year to stay unemployed just so he has some one to play with after training
jk
The Longer it goes on the more I think we have seen the last of Lee Hendrie.
