And On The Right? S.Wright Phillips

And On The Right? S.Wright Phillips

Vital Villa asked, in a poll suggested by deano.avfc, what Villa should do about a right sided midfielder from January 2007.

69% said we should buy Chelsea's Shaun Wright Phillips.
11% wanted Villa to buy former loanee and Newcastle winger James Milner.
10% said we should re-call Lee Hendrie from Stoke, although come to think of it, his loan spell ends in January, so he'd be back anyway unless O'Neill allows him to leave or stay out on loan.
Only 1% wanted us to play with a narrow midfield and no 'natural' winger leaving 4% unsure or wanting another option.

I would love SWP at Villa Park, but just can't see it happening. Will probably want to stay in London.

I agree I think SWP will stay in London, looks like Milner wants to stay a toon so I think we will have to llok futher. We need someone who is quick going forward but quicker tracking back.

If WHAM dont appoint a new manager in time we stand an excellent chance. Would be an excellent signing and send a signal out to all that we are on the way back.

Would be a superb signing and would add to the pace of Stan, Gabby and Baros that we already have in the side

It would be the dream signing to signle our intentions to the rest of the world and get other class players wanting to join, but can we beat off the competition?
