Angel's Elbow Recovering From Foul

The FA have said they will look at video evidence of the incident in last nights match between Sheffield United and Aston Villa.

Juan Pablo Angel had a nasty injury as Blades skipper Morgan clearly put his face onto our strikers elbow. His elbow today is said to be sore but recovering.

Apparently if match ref Halsey's report says he didn't see it, the FA video advisory panel can then decide if there is a case to offer and can give Angel a 3 match ban for violent conduct.

An FA spokesman said: 'We will await the referee's report from Mark Halsey to see whether he saw the incident and we will study any relevant video footage.'

Not the best quote going really, but there you go.

Sutton and Baros looked good.....maybe he is feeling the pressure. All pessimistic comments made on sutton signing are now fully revoked with large helping of humble pie. Genius from MON.

just worried about angels elbow to be honest, it was a horrific incident when Morgans face attacked it!!!!!
The Fear
apparently mark halsey has said he saw the incident and chose not to do anything, so it looks like JPA is in the clear... lucky boy in my opinion. With the busy xmas schedule coming up we need all the players we can. Although after last nights performance Sutton and Baros should probably be first choice with JPA coming off the bench.

Trouble with them Northeners...can't take a joke!

Morgan and Warnock are quite prepared to dish it out, but it's a different story when they're on the receiving end. I was impressed with the battle that we showed last night. Everyone got stuck in
Geordie_Villa
Wouldnt be a great loss to lose Angel for 3 games anyway would it?
DeanoVilla
What a load of crap Geordie Villa! Your trying to say that Morgan deserved an elbow in the face because he's a physical player?!!! Think you'd be thinking differently if Sutton, who's just as physical, had been on the receiving end. It was a red card offence plain and simple.
Superblade
Unbelievable that one of our strikers can get attacked like that whilst trying to score the winner in full view of the ref and no penalty awarded, disgusting. my prayers go out to Angel and I am sure I speak for everyone (including the blades who must of been disgusted by such behaviour off one of their players) when I wish him well and I hope he makes a full recovery. Good battle, Petrov Go on my son, Baros you are forgiven you actualy looked like you cared last night even before slamming the equaliser in and shutting the mouths of the celebrating minions. UTV

whats up superblade (surely a contradiction in terms!!!!) too physical for ya??? UTV
steff_the_villan
Delusions of grandeur!!!! We supposed 'Premiership minows' outplayed you all 2nd half!!!
Superblade
you could of had 99% of the play, had 99 shots at goal, crawled all over us, it doesn't matter, what does matter is the score at the end of the game and you only managed a draw at home after going ahead, if you were not so gutted you would not be on hear gobbing off and trying to make yourself feel better, you see as far as we are concerned we saw the first goal of a future Villa legend and a cracking responce from a striker breaking his duck this season while you were all busy celebrating, and we got ourselves a draw away from home, RESULT. Calm down Superblade. Recall the first 45, when you were totally outclassed.
