Lyon Say 'Non' To Milan Baros

Lyon Say 'Non' To Milan Baros

Lyon boss Gerard Houllier has rubbished rumours that he will return for Villa striker Milan Baros after he failed to attract him 18 months ago from Liverpool.

He told AFP 'Milan Baros will not come. I never offer a second opportunity to say no two times.'

So there you go, the rumours that Lyon were going to try to loan Baros until January and then bid for him were total rubbish.

I still hope Baros wakes up, gets his chin up, and makes an impact at Villa, he is certainly a quality player BUT...........?

Looks like we could be stuck with him. His form is hardly going to attract the interest of Europes elite. Time he took a good hard look and decided the best thing to do for himself and us is to play his b0llox off. He can then decide to stay at a successfull Villa, or move to a big european team but he HAS to play well for either to happen.

well put, he's shown a bit more commitment in the last games he' s played but its still no where near 100%, sort it out Milan of MON WILL ditch you...

I personally rate Baros and we saw what he is capable of last season. I think the worst thing would be to let him go on the cheap (less than 5 mil) and watch him come back to form for someone else. Working off sutton maybe his best chance?

Just because a manager says he has no interest, you believe him!!!! how many times have you heard denials before only for the rumour to be true, and please take into account he is French. agree on the fact that Baros is an extremely talented footballer, when he can be ars*d to make an effort, time to put up or shut up. I partially agree Tyler but I think he just needs to snap out of it and start showing some quality - if he has any.

I still think MON has a soft spot for Baros (reading between the lines of his various quotes), and don't think Baros will be going anywhere until at least the summer and maybe not even then. especially if he shows some of the form we all know he is capapble of.

I hope Baros turns his career around at Villa. How frustrating would it be to watch another striker leave for peanuts and then move for mega-money after banging goals in left right and centre for someone else.

agreed glensider, class act but he has to back that up. The article last week quoting his agent, just shows even those close to him now know he is at the crossroads, he is 25-years-old, he can no longer be potential, he has to be the real deal and actually do it.

Clearly he's a very talented player, he showed that against Small Heath last year and in flashes for Liverpool. But he's got a serious attitude problem... even Dalian wasn't this inconsistent! Dunno what to think of him at the moment, because if anyone can get the best out of him it's MoN. If he can't get him playing... well, we're best off getting rid in January while we still can.
