Stuart Taylor On 'The Beast'

Stuart Taylor, who is currently getting first team action following the injury to Thomas Sorensen says of his under study Robert Olejnik, or 'The Beast' (apparently!?)

'Robert is a fantastic goalkeeper with plenty of ability. I am sure when he's eventually called up for first team action he will do a job for the team. I am often asked for advice and the best I can hand out to any up-and-coming goalkeeper is to be prepared all the time.'

The former Arsenal keeper added of the 20-year-old Austrian keeper: 'Your state of mind should always be the same, regardless of the situation. You've got to sit on the bench and think 'you never know'. Football is a strange game - a first choice goalkeeper can get injured in the first minute or the last minute. You've got to be prepared to go on and do a job and do all the right things when you're out there. Another good piece of advice is to treat every game the same - reserve or first team. You are there to do a good job for the team - it doesn't matter what level it's at.'

The Beast isn't that a nickname left over from Stefan Postmas time at the club. He would go home and tell his girlfriend he had had a bad day. She would cheer him up by strapping "The Beast" on.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Stuart Taylor move on this summer. He surely has ambitions to play regular first team football? Step up to the plate young Robert Olejnik, a goalkeeper who has impressed me at youth and reserve team levels.

Taylor certainly says all the right things and I would like him to do well at Villa but I'm just not sure.

Such a shame that a mans personal life can become public property and so many people ripping into him, people who surely have their own little bedroom secrets, let he who is without sin blah blah, I am just glad that Postma is taking it like a man, and I am sure he can put his "Anus horriblis" behind him.
