Oh well we can concentrate on the league.

never say die skegster! Actually might not be a bad thing, get uefa cup this season, few additions in Jan, then splash the cash in the summer for a full tilt at anything going?
The Fear
Oh c'mon blokes, chins up..a draw up there and beat 'em down VP!!

I think a UEFA Cup berth is very much in our own destiny. The places from 3rd to as well down as 12th are wide open. Sound investment come January and some O'Neill patented magic in the transfer market and we stand an excellent chance. The 3rd round tie is hard for us but unlike in previous seasons we will have a team at Old Trafford who are prepared to and able to compete.

our games over the christmas period: Manchester United home, 23rd December 2006; Tottenham Hotspur away, 26th December 2006; Charlton Atheltic away, 30th December 2006; Chelsea home, 2nd January 2007; Manchester United away, 7th January 2007 (FA cup); Manchester United away, 13th January 2007; 3 points from Charlton then?

The luck of the draw slaps us in the face again.

No shame if we get beat, plus a nice little earner with half the gate and tv money, personaly i think we could do this, id rather be tne underdogs anyday. I see Chelski used the heated ball again.

Let's not be too disheartened with the draw. Come Jan. 1st Randy's cheque book will be open for business and by the 7th we'll have a few new additions to the squad. Man Utd should be quaking in their boots!
pongogidman
I agree with Jonah if we can draw at old trafford there is a chance we can beat them at Villa Park as long as the match dont go to penalties
Christo
it was all envitable wasnt it! larsson signing for man u and able to play in january i wonder who he will make his debut against!
sdcman
What's to say we can't beat them up there? It'll be tough, but they aren't invincible and we're about due a win at Old Trafford. Wouldn't have given us a hope last season, but no reason why we can't go there and nick it
Geordie_Villa
time to fill out the application form for next years intertoto !!
bobbyfett
It could have been a lot tougher draw of course. Manchester City at home for example.
glensider
Thats the 3rd time in 5 years we've drawn Man Utd in the 3rd round! Whats the chances of that!? Probably more chance of winning the ******* Euro Millions!
DeanoVilla
