Unoial Villa News...

According to Martin O'Neill Patrik Berger might still have a future at Villa despite being disciplined and sent out on loan. Berger is out of contract at the end of the season but O'Neill said, when asked if Berger's Villa future was over: 'The answer is not particularly. It was a breach of club discipline and I didn't see him then, because of that, for being in the plans for the next few weeks. So if that is the case, if he is getting a game somewhere, then good luck to him. But the fine still holds anyway. I wouldn't rule out anything though.' Ta ta Berger!!!

Thomas Sorensen underwent 'routine keyhole surgery' yesterday and physio Alan Smith told the official site: 'Thomas underwent a right knee arthroscopy yesterday and everything went well. It was a routine procedure and there were no complications.'

Despite the five home points dropped in the space of four days, there's still a lot of positives around. The grand old place is bubbling.

One month to go to the opening of the January window. Its been a while since we Villans could look ahead in such an optimistic mood.
