Mellberg Hails Sorenson.
Mellberg has praised Sorensons local derby performance. Following mistakes in the previous derby, Sorenson - and the defence in general - were far more solid this time around.
Mellberg said: 'He was fantastic. He showed how strong he is mentally. It has been tough and as a defender or a goalkeeper you are the last man and every mistake could be crucial. He was big for us and didn't look nervous at all. That shows how mentally strong he is. I don't think he needed a word beforehand from the lads.'
The Villa captain also praised the whole team. 'We all showed the commitment and the aggression needed in those kind of games and that lifted everyone including Thomas. Now we have to look to climb the table.'
