O'Neill After Big Apple!

O'Neill After Big Apple!

Martin O'Neill says he'd be happy for Villa to do their pre-season tour in America next summer. WAHEY, watch out you Yanks, the Villans are coming!!!

He told the official site: 'A couple of things have come in to my desk - including the offer to go to play in a tournament in Canada. But Randy Lerner wouldn't mind if there was a possibility of us going to America. To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't mind either, especially now I know the players a bit better. I'd love to go to New York, or somewhere like that.'

'The truth is we've done nothing at the moment so we'll have to wait and see. I'll work in conjunction with the owner, and if it's America, then I'd genuinely fancy that with a couple of games.'

Wonder if Randy will extend his offer of paying for fans to go to matches in America, I'm with Martin, I'd genuinely fancy that!!!!

Games in Chicago and Columbus would suit me just fine. Could tell the wife we're off to visit the in-laws, and then when we touch down in The Buckeye State, I could reveal that the Villa just happen to be playing in the mid-west.

Surely such a tour would be of more benefit than would entry into the Inter-Toto?
