Former Villa goalkeeper Boaz Myhill has been the subject of a story in the Sun. The report says that Hull chairman Adam Pearson has put a £2million price tag on the shot stopper in the hopes that he will fend off interest from both Arsenal and Wigan. We sold him in December 2003 for £50 000.

O'Leary has said there will be no money in the January transfer window and that he will have to look for loan deals. Full story: Click Here Which will rule out the rumoured links to Zat Knight - who Fulham only want to let go if it is a permanent transfer, Dean Ashton and the 1006 other players we have been linked with. So quite what I'll be writing about in the next month is anyone's guess. The Knitting Times perhaps?!

Ellis has twittered on about something to do with a long term deal for Steven Davis. In truth, half way through the interview in icbrum I lost the will to live. Something about him looking after all the players like Brian 'he who walks on water' Little, etc and that he will look after Davis. If there was ever a reason to move to Man Utd, that would surely be it?! It appears Villa will offer Davis a double your money deal to keep him at the club.

Jlloyd Samuel is fighting to re-gain his first team place and has also appealed against the decision not to allow him to play for Trinidad and Tobaga in the world cup. If he wins his appeal he will face England in the group stages.

Aaron Hughes says the next few weeks are make or break for Villa adding: 'Now we've got lots of games in a short period of time and the sides that do well over Christmas are often the sides that do well come the end of the season.'

Bakke is pushing to keep his place in the Villa midfield for the weekends clash v Utd.

Thought for the day (aka the only part you all read!!!) A dress is like a barbed fence. It protects the premises without restricting the view!
