Juan Pablo Angel ended his seven month drought at Bolton and said: 'I knew it would come - it's not as if I forgot how to score goals.' Shame the rest of the team have forgotten how to supply the crosses and passes in order to get these strikers scoring more regularly though isn't it!?!

O'Leary said after the match: 'He will get a great lift from this and if your strikers start scoring you have always a chance of winning games.'

Looks like our chances of signing Robert Huth from Chelsea might have been scuppered with the news that German giants Bayern Munich might be stepping in. Huth wants first team football to cement a place in the world cup finals, where better than Bayern?

Seems the Fulham fans who have voted at the Vital Fulham site won't be too disappointed if the rumoured bid for their defender Zat Knight transpires. 91% of them said he should be sold because he hasn't progressed.

Kevin Phillips is targeting the Manchester United game next weekend to make his comeback. He also says 'Coming to a new club, I was eager to make a good impression but it hasn't happened for me. When I have got going, I've been quite happy. I've still managed to score four goals from 11 starts, but as soon as I play two or three games, there's been an interruption through injury. This has probably been the worst start to a season I've ever had. Hopefully though I can get over this and I won't have any more injuries for the rest of the season. I have to be looking to target the Manchester United game.'

Eirik Bakke says he 'likes it at Villa' and wants to find out where his long term future lies. The giant midfielder is currently on loan until January at Aston Villa from Leeds United. Rumours have circulated that Leeds may be interested in taking Eric Jumper Jumper in a swap deal for Bakke. Full Story Here

Injury plagued Patrick Berger is jetting off to America this week to see world renowned specialist Doctor Richard Steadman who also treated Martin Laursen. The Aston Villa midfielder joined Villa on a free from Portsmouth in the summer but has been reduced to just nine first team appearances due to injury problems. Full Story Here

21 year old Peter Whittingham will, according to David O'Leary, be allowed to go back out on loan 'if someone comes in' for him. Whittingham was returned early from his loan spell at Derby County.

We asked in our poll - following the quotes from the Wolves boss about Lee Hendrie - if Villa should sell him. Only 13% said that we should sell the often controversial midfielder, 25% said he was a good squad member and in a resounding thumbs up, 62% said we shouldn't sell him as he is a good first team player.

O'Leary has stated that Hendrie is going nowhere this season and that no one approached him to take him on loan.

Mark Delaney is set to start his latest comeback from injury playing for the reserves against the Baggies tonight.

An article in The Mirror last week suggested James Milner is hoping to make his move to Aston Villa a permanent one in the summer. Full Story Here
