Laursen Available For Every Game

Danish international Martin Laursen has said he is now back, fully fit and is ready for the rigours of all the forthcoming games.

He told the official site 'I was fit in midweek. At the start of the season I couldn't do it, but now I'm available for every game. I still have to do some different training once in a while, but that does not mean that I have to do less than the others. It is just so exciting to be here again, because there were so many times last season when I didn't think I would be able to play again. Now I'm in the same situation as the other players - I don't think the manager's thinking about my injury. I just have to fight my way back into the team.'

The former AC Milan defender also has his sights set on Chelsea adding:

'On paper it's a very difficult game. But Chelsea are thinking about the Premiershipand the Champions League, while the Carling Cup is big for us. We really want to play well and proceed, but it will be difficult. It would have been better if we could have played them at Villa Park. They may rest some players, but we proved we can beat them, because we could have beaten them last time in the league.'

Good to see he's thinking positive about his recovery from the serious surgery, in fact all credit to him, he's been positive since the surgery was deemed neccessary, way back when. Whenever he's played this season he's looked the part, and is obviously too good a player to sit bench warming for too long. Where though, do we fit him in to the current starting line up? MON obviously has some serious thinking to do.

This is great news, both for him personally and for the club. Martin's a class player.
The Usual Suspect
very impressed with his performances so far, be good to see more of him UTV

I honestly dont think Ridge can be dropped in his current form though, so Laursen is just going to have to be patient.
