Randy Drives Fans To Chelsea!
Things are certainly improving at Aston Villa!
Our new owner and Chairman Randy Lerner listened to what Martin O'Neill said about the importance of the away fans at the Leicester City Carling Cup tie so has decided to foot the bill for Villa fans travelling down to Chelsea for next month's Carling Cup clash. The date is Wednesday 8th November, kick-off 7.45pm.
Superb, I've booked a Lear Jet, just looking for where I send the bill! Oh, hang on, there is a limit.... darn it!!
Villa have been allocated 6 000 tickets which go on sale to season ticket holders on Monday and as the official site explains any supporter purchasing a ticket will be entitled to free official travel. Free travel must be booked at the same time.
What a fabulous promotion.
A Villa spokesman told www.avfc.co.uk: 'The manager was overwhelmed by the fantastic support we had at Leicester and he obviously made the chairman aware of that. This is his way of trying to help the supporters get down to Stamford Bridge and continue their fantastic support of the team. We appreciate the lengths people go to as they follow Villa all around the country and this is just our way of saying thank you.'
Appreciation of the fans by the club, heady days indeed.

What a stunning gesture. Surely it is obvious to all that the team of M'ON and Randy have the fans at the heart of theit interests. Lets do our bit by making sure that all regular fans encourage as many friends, family and relatives to start attending as many games as possible at Villa Park. To those who can come to most of the games but who choose not to, take the plunge, get your half season ticket and enjoy the ride. It may not be this season, or even next, but make no mistake Villa are on the way back.
