Old Villa Badge, New Villa Badge?

Old Villa Badge, New Villa Badge?

Our latest poll is asking which of the Villa badges you prefer?

The old badge which made up part of the fantastic mosaic on the old Trinity Road stand (link to some wonderful pictures: Click Here

Old badge:

Round badge which brings back superb memories of the success in the early 80's!

New badge:

I must admit I love the round badge but can understand that the club have been unable to copyright it and at the end of the day, football is now a business! It would be nice, no matter what badge, if the club allowed the fans to use it on their websites etc, we are surely promoting the brand?!

I also love the idea, put forward by my mate Nigel Ashford, for next seasons kits to be replicas of the kit of 1982 to celebrate our 25th anniversary, I think they'd sell by the shed load and might remind others that we are one of a very select band of clubs to have lifted the European Cup.

New badge nice, old badge lovely, but round badge reminds me of the time I was first really getting into Villa. Not sure with the new badge why we ended up with stripes either?

What do people think about the idea of the kit of 82 being used next season, thought it was a blinder myself!?

Have to admit I have grown quite fond of the current badge, although I was dead against changing it at the time.

The current Villa badge is Great, the old badge Great the round badge is Great. As long as it says ASTON VILLA Football Club I dont really mind. However as a new day dawns over our beloved club I would have liked to have had the option to propose "New Badge" for the brave new future.

Had the round one tattoo'd on my arm many years ago. As you say, the lion, claret and blue and Aston Villa.... simple, but magic

they dont make em like they used to (stands), makes me want a new soul-less bowl stadium even less. Give me the round badge please, im sure nike would do a good job of making our next kit.

Gotta be the round badge for me, there is just something about it. I prefer it to the new one.
