Celtic Moving To Villa Park!

This time, the Express claim that Villa are to put in a £1.5million bid for Bobo Balde in January.

The 31-year-old central defender missed the start of the season after needing an operation to solve a long-running stomach muscle complaint.

He is also a Guinea international.

Doubt there's much truth in it - you'll be going for younger players in January, surely. Although it is good to see that O'Neill obviously rates Celtic as a better club than most people do around here...

silkie villain
why christo?
The Fear
I dont think he will do well at Villa I think we should be looking at younger and better players. But maybe am wrong I was wrong about Agathe and I could be wrong about this
Christo
I thik the defence is sound enough as it is not forgetting that laursen and cahill are still around

Is the rumour true that we are not going to sign milner in jan but are going after jimmy johnstone instead ? !
atkinson villa
The link with Henrik Larsson is, quite frankly, odd...
ForeverHoop
larsson would be the best signing villa have ever made , good luck to you's
glasgowbhoy24
Is it true that Aston Villa have applied to change their name to Aston Celtic? I knew Celtic were wanting to move to the Premiership but this is ridiculous! I'm telling you, Aston Villa will be launching a new green and white hooped shirt by the start of next season. Martin O'Neill is a good manager but you have to question his fascination with signing Celtic has beens.

Maybe MON is wanting to sign half of Celtic or maybe he isn't. He himself hasn't said so either way. It is more likely that most of the plyers at Celtic want to move to a bigger club in a bigger and better leauge and their agents are putting the stories out.
Hoss The Villain
Cant see too much truth in the Balde rumour. We've too much central defensive quality already in plentiful supply at B6.

thing is, we, as everybody knows, have a small squad, we also have atransfer window that means we cant buy anyone of genuine class until it opens. i dont MON signing free players to bolster us in the meantime, but it seems that any former celtic player who doesn't have a contract will be linked to us for now

£1.5million? No way. I've learned that the guy is out of contract, and available on a free.
