O'Neill On Chris Sutton Debut

New Villa striker Chris Sutton is set to debut tonight for Aston Villa in the reserves who take on West Ham at Upton Park.

The 33-year-old former Celtic striker is currently on a deal that takes him to the end of the season with the mighty Claret & Blues.

O'Neill told the official site: 'Chris has done a week or so's work. He would not shirk the challenge if I called him into the first team but I think he would like to be fitter. If he has a point to prove, and wants to do well at the club, I think he would like to be fitter rather than just thrown on at the last minute.'

O'Neill also (didn't) say: 'Thank goodness the Vital Villa site is back, the whole team were stunned last week by its absence as they take most of their coaching by the forum members and the nut who runs the site.'

Team for tonight: Olejnik, Bridges, Green, Cahill, Bouma, Osbourne, Agathe, Gardner, Sutton, Kabeya, Berger. Subs: Lund, Henderson, McGurk, Stieber.

Sutton may be alright I was wrong about Agathe he had a good game on sataday
Christo
agathe looks pretty good, sort of like a rejuvinated de la cruz who's learned to cross a ball. I like MON's style, bringing on 2 experiened players (berger and agathe) on both flank towards the end of the games is very clever idea and could help us score a few late winners. I know its his only choice at present, but when would DOL ever have done that??

David O'Leary proberly would of never signed any free agents

Sutton definitely has the ability and experience to do a job for us. Keep him fit, and we could be on a winner. A MON masterstroke. Good luck to Big Chris.
