Magpie Milner Wants To Stay At Villa

Magpie Milner Wants To Stay At Villa

An article in The Mirror this morning suggests James Milner is hoping to make his move to Aston Villa a permanent one in the summer.

Milner is currently on a season long loan from Newcastle and was part of the deal that saw Nolberto Solano return to St James Park.

The 'Football Spy' article says Milner wants to stay. Blimey?! A happy player at Aston Villa, surely not?!

Mind you, the last line will no doubt ring alarm bells with Villa fans: 'However, his hopes may be dashed if the two clubs are unable to agree a fee.'

O'Leary was quoted a few weeks back casting doubts on a permanent move saying that Milner was quality and he thought it highly unlikely that Newcastle would want to sell him OR that Villa would have the money to buy him even if The Magpies agreed.

I guess it all depends on whether Villa get new owners or not. IF the consortium do come in, they will surely be looking at bolstering the squad? Milner would be very high on my list* following his influential and determined displays this season.

* As if I a) have a list b) anyone would read it if I did c) ok, I might have a list d) refer to b) ;-))

'However, his hopes may be dashed if the two clubs are unable to agree a fee.'... Hopes of a fee, dashed? at the Villa? Surely some mistake ;-)
