'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Villa Fans Are Special

The General has spoken of the addiction of Villa and lauded the fans.

'It's great to be with the fans. The fans are what makes the experience all the more delightful. To see the excitement of the Villa fans is very special.'

And in comparison to his home land? We win hands down according to him! 'From the standpoint of fan participation it's far, far better than American football. The constant roar and din of Villa Park is not to be equalled in America.'

He has also told the official site of his joy at having Martin O'Neill as manager.

'We are delighted to have O'Neill. Randy had a lot of conversations with Martin during the transaction and we could not be happier. He is more than just a brilliant manager and more than just a brilliant tactician. He is a brilliant leader. What the Villa fans are seeing is not just a smart manager on the sideline, what they are seeing is a great leader who has taken a club and instilled within them a desire and a belief that they can do it, that they can win.'

He continued: 'Martin is smart in saying that they are not going to win every game, we'd love to do that, but at the same time he is asking his players and the fans to stick with the club that they are going to get the results that they want, and that we all want. He motivates in many ways. One, he just has an aura of success. Everything he has touched has been very good, but equally, if not more important, he inspires confidence in the players because he has confidence in them.

'They see that this man has confidence in their abilities and that brings forth a great effort. He is a leader and a motivator.'

I spent a bit of time putting Spuds fans in their place last week and the site editor kept editing my posts (maybe they were a bit near the knuckle) but if they want to come on here with their lies and rubbish they need to be told. So I thought it was me, obviously not if everybody has struggled to get on. There does not appear to many responses to the subjects at the moment, so maybe people think the site had closed and have gone elsewhere?

I'm glad it is back too. I have changed my ISP and computer innards and thought it was more trouble for me.

Hey Fear. On the spuds site they are saying that 'software corruption' is a myth and infact you were all off on a jolly to Barcelona. You come in for a bit of stick (good natured) as well.

I don't really care if this guy means it. What's important is that they're actualy thinking about us and taking the time to speak to us. More stuff coming out since the revolution than the last 5 years. Refreshing, exciting... etc. Who'd of thought this time last year we'd be talking about MON, badgers & hard drives! Glad the sites back. Had a look round and couldn't find anything as user-friendly.

Well said The General. We think the new board is pretty special too (I have reservations about S. Stride), so let the back-slapping begin.
