Phillips Ruled Out

David O'Leary has ruled Kevin Phillips out of tomorrow's game against Bolton.

Phillips went over and twisted his ankle in training on Monday. A precautionary scan showed there was no major damage but as O'Leary says 'the Bolton game does come too soon for him.'

Phillips has had bad luck this season with injuries and missed the Newcastle draw last weekend due to a stomach bug.

O'Leary told the official site: 'He's the one we'll have to do without. As I've said all week, it's not a long term injury or anything like that. But the Bolton game does come too soon for him. We have no doubts about him ahead of the Manchester United game next weekend.'

Lets hope he plays Luke Moore up front with Baros instead of keeping faith with the out of sorts Angel. Either that, or go five in midfield giving Hendrie or Milner a free role? Blimey, this management malarkey is easy!
