What Would Satisfy You This Season

Vital Villa asked for Bobbyfett, what would please you this season considering last year?

4% said the title! (ahem!!!)
8% said champions league qualification.
25% voted for top 6 and a trophy.
38% said top 8 and a semi-final appearance.
21% had their realistic hats on and said they'd settle for top eight and a decent cup run and just 4% said they'd be happy with anything higher than last season.

Our latest poll, which amused me when sent in by Ulster Villa, asks what David O'thinggermigig is thinking now!

top 8 and possibly a trophy is a realistic and best bet for you this season ... next season progress from there and who knows where you could end up !!

It takes time to lay the foundations of success. Even then there is no guarantee of winning anything. However it is wonderful to have 'hope'. It is something that we have not had for years. At the start of every season I want to win the league, the FA Cup and the League Cup. By the start of September the league has usually bit the dust (not this season). By November the league Cup has usually fallen off the radar (we must wait and see). Early January is usually the end of the season after exiting the FA Cup. It may not be this season (or next) but I have genuine belief that Villa are on the way back. As for this season, anything more than halfway would be a massive improvement on last season. A good cup run would be a bonus not an expectation. There will be lows and highs over the coming months and years. It is important to keep the faith at all times. UTV

I would have taken anything other than relegation before the season started. Now, as long as we finish in the top half then I'll be delighted. As voiceoftheholte says, it will take Randy and MON time to build the club back up, but we are certainly heading the right direction

If we can get at least 4 points from our next 2 home games then I'll really start believing that top half, and maybe even top 6 is possible. Having said that, even if we slump a bit and only finish mid-table it will still be a massive step forward from what I was expecting in June, and I have faith in MON and Randy that the future will be bright

I never had expectations, being a Villa fan, they always ended in tears, mine usually :) This year is no different, I dont expect anything, but I think we should be good for a top 8 position and that would make me extremely happy given that last year we were so low. Next year, I might make an expectation!

I know this is the wrong page to be carrying on about the jermain defoe item but just thought you would all be pleased to visit this site http://www.aboutaball.co.uk/html2/rankings/ranking.php. its about historical rankings since the game began, and shows the mighty villa in 4th overall with 368 points and spurs in 7th with 275 points, now if that don't stop those spurs w**nkers mouthing of nowt will, and this proves we are a big club 4th overall since the english game began, cant argue with facts! happy reading, and don't worry I've already been on the yid site to let them now!! GO ON THE VILLA
