O'Neill Tells Barry To Be Patient

Martin O'Neill has told Gareth Barry to be patient in his quest for an international re-call saying 'Your chance will come.'
The new England boss Steve McClaren has carried on where Sven left off in ignoring our left sided midfielder despite the fact the player is in the form of his life.

Many feel that Barry should have at least made the squad for the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Macedonia and Croatia.

O'Neill told the official site: 'I'm disappointed for Gareth that he didn't get into the squad, I really am. It is disappointing when players are taking themselves away for international games and one of our best players isn't going with them. But it will come, I promise you, it will come. I will talk to him about it, but it will definitely come - there is absolutely no question about that - no question. There is nothing for him to get anxious about. I haven't spoken to Steve McClaren about it. That is not my job yet.'

Barry should be ahead of Bridge and Downing in the squad! As he's equally good at both left back and left wing it's free up an extra place in the squad! You listening Sven? You couldve taken another striker to the World Cup!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH is he F***ing blind, Stupid, in love or a mixture of all three. I had high hopes that McLaren would do the job for England but this glaring ommision from the England line up is quite unbelievable. (or has he got some 13 year old wonder kid in the squad who has never played for anything other than a school team, and will spend all his time on the bench!) Don't do a Sven you ars**ole, open your Bl**dy eyes. deep breath and relax. UTV

problem is, villa have been ignored for the last 5 years, even with our amazing start to the season, the papers and shows like football focus just dont seem intrested in talking about us. it seems that maclaren is happy to pick his squad while he's sat on his backside watching football on telly. example - SWP was rubbish against us, has hardly played since he left city, but he's been lined up for a start tomorrow and its because he plays for chelski. it seems villa are going to have to make people aware again of our might. i look forward to seeing the boys do this by being in the top 6 for the next gazillion years.

Really deserves to be in the squad. Fell sorry for Gareth because he deserves a try at least. We know McClaren will be totally anti-Barry if he isn't in the squad for the friendly against Holland.
