Moore Not Out As Long As Feared

Moore Not Out As Long As Feared

Martin O'Neill has said that striker Luke Moore could be back in Premiership action as early as January. It was feared that the 20-year-old might miss the entire season due to shoulder troubles but O'Neill has told the official site:

'The good news is that Luke could be back in as little as three months. I was worried it might be a season finishing injury, but physio Alan Smith assured me that will not be the case.'

'He does need surgery. I think that the doctor feels he must get sorted out soon, because it's not helping him long-term to struggle on with this injury and it must affect him psychologically if he's thinking about it in matches.'

I hope he comes back a better player coz I just dont think he has ever come close to living up to his hype as yet. Wonder how much of a chance he'll get when he comes back, because of new signings?

Yeah, think we'll always need the mix of local lads and bigger signings, would hate to end up doing an Arsenal and bringing in a team full of foreign stars, we need a backbone of British talent in my humble opinion, and if they happen to be local lads, more the better.

Good news. No doubt we'll be looking at around March/April time. He needs to recover from the surgery, heal, get fit and get his confidence back. It'll take time, there's no quick fix here.
