How Many Can Villa Go Unbeaten?

Vital Villa asked, in a poll suggested by No1_villan, how many more games can we go unbeaten for?

Seems like 56% don't fancy our chances against Chelsea at the weekend because they all said we could go 0 more games unbeaten. COME ON, where's the Dunkirk spirit when you need it?! We could go, frustrate them and draw, then who knows? Remember people were predicting a thrashing against Arsenal!

24% were more positive saying we could go 5 plus games unbeaten.

We then had 1 game unbeaten - 4%, 2 unbeaten 7%, 3 unbeaten 6%, 4 unbeaten 3%.

We have drew all three league games on the road so far with Arsenal being a great battling performance. I think when we play the top teams we seem to perform better as a team, so saturday could well be a pleasant surprise.

the good thing for me is at least i know we will compete even if we lose. That was rarely the case under sinking HMS Villa of old - O'Leary would have already done an interview by now saying we cant possibly win just look at their squad and we would have lost before we even got there.

i will be over the moon with a point at chelsea

i think we'll get a draw, but at the end of the day, IF we lose our unbeaten run, then at least we can say it took chelski away to do it, the most important thing is how we do after the loss, besides i'd sooner it end against a team like chelsea than to a team we should beat.

i reckon we'll play well against chelsea, luke moore and angel both like playing against them. I also cant wait to to see how ashley cole deals with gabby for a whole 90 minutes. If Ridgy and mellberg can keep drogba quiet then we stand a chance. Petrov first scorer :-)

it's going to be an interesting clash.... a confident villa side with pacy wingers/wide men/strikers(!) versus a very narrow chelsea team that rely on their stars and have no width about them whatsoever... this has draw written all over it however, If McCann can out do Makelele we can win it, that to me is the crucial battle.

We are more than capable of drawing with Chelsea. They aren't that special - just like to think they are! We have better forwards at the moment, dont give anything sloppy away, keep Lampard, Robben marked well and it could be tight.

im goin to the match and im staying posittive, we will win simple as that

I think we will come away with a point at chelsea and if O'Leary was in charge right now i'd say we proberly would of lost 4 games by now

So much negativity, Chelski have LOST a match and will do so again this weekend. But as many have said there would be no shame in loosing to such a side at their home ground, I just believe we won't. There are too many proven instances of the power of positive thought (and in religion prayer) where large groups of people have focused on sending positive thoughts, which have resulted in positive results. the O'Dreary one sabotaged his own team with negativity, "our squads too small" "we need more players" he displayed a distinct lack of faith in his players and they responded accordingly. I know the majority of fans are been positive, so lets keep the positive vibe going. Believe in our boys, they will deliver. UP THE VILLA

I'm going for a Villa double-win against Chelsea on Saturday and the next on Jan 1, Top4 and unbeaten at start of 2007. What odds can I get for that?

Villa can win this game. It's all about belief. They have some quality in their side - don't forget Ballack and Shevchenko have been added alongside Robbe, Drogba and Lampard, all of these Villa will have to deal with. But I'd say we're the hungrier-looking side at the moment. Fingers crossed Gabby, Luke et al can keep playing the way they have done. A point would be good but we can do better even against this side !
