Aston Villa Attendance Today?

Vital Villa asked, on behalf of Ulster Villa, what the attendance will be today against Charlton at Villa Park.

45% predict 36 000 - 39 000

Only 5% thought 40k plus and 6% were full of doom and gloom predicting under 30k.

12% said 30 - 33k and 25% 33 - 36k

That left 7% saying 'who cares as long as we win!' Well, I for one care and I'm sure the new owners care! This is the first post Doug game, we have Martin O'Neill as manager, we have fabulous new owners who will have a good go at bringing back the good times, so surely it is now up to us all to back the change that we've wanted for so long and to get down to Villa Park to show Randy and his guys what a full to the rafters Villa Park is like?

What could be better to do on a Saturday at 3pm and don't say shopping.... pleeeeaasssseeee don't say shopping (unless it is with Rachel Stevens or Kiera Knightly, then you are excused!!!)

I for one will be there. I started my own personal protest two years ago and stopped renewing my season ticket. On tuesday following the statement to the stock exchange I phone Villa and renewed. Very excited. Up the Villa

By the look of that picture O'Neill and Doug have a great relationship. Doug has clearly taken Martin fishing and Martin is now telling Randy about the one that got away, "It was this big Randy" :)

Maybe it is me. But I was disappointed with todays attendance. I have been very positive in my views asking Villa supporters to back the new regime. Most visitors to this site seem to agree. However there are still those who would rather critisise and make excuses. Let me make it clear. Some people can not afford it. Some people are on holiday. Others must select certain games due to where they live. Some are at work. But this applies to all clubs. Man City are in the doldrums. Their manager is under pressure and they have had no significant investment or new players arriving. However they still attracted 41,000 today for similar standard opposition. Everything at Villa is geared to filling the ground. The prices, the performances, the young local lads in the team, M'ON. What else can be done. And please do not say lower prices. All that was achieved today by charging £5 in the lower North stand is that some fans left the Holte and Trinity Road to save some money. That is evey fans right, but for the club it actually cost money. Surely we all realise that as soon as the ground is regularly full, it will be expanded. Isn't that what we all want?

Agree with above posting. I was disappointed with todays attendance. Good to see Villans behind both goals though. Next home game is a tester. We always get pretty decent attendances for the Spurs game. Surely we should be looking at/expecting 40,000.
