'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Villa Times 19/09/2006

A sad day for all of us with the departure of Doug, but I think we'll survive?! ;-)

Oh come off it! Football Agent Simon Kennedy has told BBC Sport that Stan Collymore might consider a return to Villa Park! Full article: Click Here

29-year-old Lee Hendrie is being linked to a loan move to Crystal Palace. Full article:Click Here
Doug Ellis and the board of Aston Villa have stepped down with immediate effect as RAL have gone unconditional in their offer for Aston Villa. Full article: Click Here

The AV Annual General Meeting has been postponed. It was due to be held on 29 September 2006, but will now take place 30 November 2006.

Former Blackburn Rovers, Celtic and Blues striker Chris Sutton has been linked to a move to Aston Villa. Sounds like 2+2=6 to me!

Stiliyan Petrov has told the official site that despite the 0-0 v Watford on Saturday, the goals will come for Aston Villa. Full article: Click Here

Juan Pablo Angel has set his sights on Europe. 'I think we've got the right man in charge to do it. He's been doing it for many years at Celtic and I can't see why we're not capable of getting into Europe this year. It'll be a great opportunity. Since I've been here the club has been up and down, up and down. We have to start getting consistency. A good football club is challenging for Europe every year. Everyone here wants to do that.' The club have tried and been told by the FA that they can't add a star over the badge to signify our win in the European Cup (25 years ago next May 26th). So what will they do if we put one anyway?! Maybe the club should look at the legalities of branding the players with a star on their forehead when they join us instead? Ok, maybe not! Full article: Click Here

Thought for the day: Ham and eggs. A day's work for a chicken, a lifetime commitment for a pig.
