55% Predict Final Visit For Villa

Vital Villa asked how far Aston Villa can go in the league cup this season ahead of Wednesday nights clash v Scunthorpe.

48% said we could go all the way to the final and win with a further 7% saying we'd make the final but lose.

29% didn't consider themselves to be a mystic mug and said who knows (thanks for that!)

10% predicted the semi finals and 3% the quarter finals.

That left just 3% saying we'd only make it as far as the next round.

Not getting carried away with ONeill's qualities and success in the league cup but a good run is probably expected and the bookies odds will no doubt reflect that... I'd like to see us get into the Final, however I think this season we should do better in the FA Cup with the promise of lots of money to spend in the January Sales!

no pressure on the new manager then, only 55% of us expect to go to the final. Lets save the pressure for when we have got a new squad. Just take us as far as you can and lets have some fun on the way.

The poll actually said how far can Villa go, well any team can win it. It didn't actually say how far do you expect them to go. Hopefully this time round Villa will show how a premiership side should play against a league one side, unlike last year! 3-0 Villa:)
