'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Villa Midfielder In London Link

29-year-old Lee Hendrie is being linked to a loan move to Crystal Palace.

Martin O'Neill said: 'Crystal Palace have approached us about Lee. They want him for a couple of months, though the good news is we could recall him after the first month. So that's something that could happen. First of all, he's recovering from an injury and it's also his testimonial year, so those are considerations. But, if there are a couple of players in front of him, who have done OK, and the chance to go out on loan comes up, I won't stand in his way.'

'I'm always of a mind to do that if it suits everyone. But I would be reluctant to let too many out on loan at once, because a few injuries later, you can find yourself in trouble.'

Good luck lil' Lee!

He could have achieved so much more. He could have pressed on for more England caps. He could have been a contender... now he prepares for Crystal Palace.

Let this be a lesson to all kids out there! Make the most of what you have or you will end up like Lee Hendrie (new Porsche, fab house, trophy arm candy....)

Don't let him go to Palace!!! Taylor will ruin him. Taylor out, Taylor out! I'd of thought he could still do a job for your lot anyway?

Let him go. Let someone else pay his wages.
The Usual Suspect
if he's available surely he must be able to improve some of the teams in the premiership. So why isnt there any premiership interest?

Is there a Mechu near Palace? If so he will fit in fine!

hendrie has been going down hill for ages he wont improve a conference side let alone a prem one.

he still has a few years left - lets not right him off yet. He's claret and blue so lets give him a break.

The bright lights of old London town appear to be beckoning for Mr Hendrie. Lucky swine!

Lee will be alright. He'll do a job for Palace or whoever. I'm still not convinced that his VP days are finally over, and wouldn't be surprised to see him back at B6 following his loan deal, pushing for a starting place in the Villa first team line up.

Palace are strong contenders for goin up, so why would this stop Hendrie rom taking a move down there !!!!
