Milner Frustrated At Newcastle

Reports in the Mirror today claim that Newcastle midfielder James Milner will slap in a transfer request as he is growing increasingly frustrated at being left out of the team.

Milner was set on a move to Aston Villa and had travelled down to Birmingham to talk terms only to be re-called by the clown Freddy Shepherd. Some say Shepherd wanted to get one over Martin O'Neill after he turned down the Magpies job.

Milner didn't even make the bench for Newcastle against Fulham on Saturday despite his re-call and claims that he was in Newcastle's plans. The paper claims Milner will now officially ask to leave. Whether Villa will return for Milner isn't clear though, especially as more money could be available for transfer targets in both January and the summer.

As I said at the time, I couldn't see the lad wanting to stay with the Northern muppets after that fiasco. Fancy treating their bright young star like that. Now we might get him on the cheap, if MON still wants him that is.
The Usual Suspect
He would still be ideal for the MONster's plans for me. I.e. an attacker that can play right mid as well. i think Agbonlahor (aka The Hor) was poor vs west ham and would be better in a straight forward strikers role rather than attacking winger role.
thekentvillan
I didn't think he played that badly. He was a threat every time we went forward. Still not the finished article tho.

I thought gabby considering his inexperience played reasonably well on sunday. No surprise about milner, what did newcastle expect to happen?

How many villa games you seen this season "thekentvillain" as he has been a revalation so far.i would say that he did start to tire the last half hour as did moore which is not surprising as between them they are covering more ground than anyone else in the new formation that they are playing.milner will be a welcome addition to the squad as this setup will suit him imensly.he is also a grafter.

Geordie boys... i think you are Freddy Shepard, you're certainly stupid enough
The Usual Suspect
wow, where did his post go?
The Usual Suspect
maybe he has finally been kicked off these sites

I'd still go for James Milner in January, as I believe he has as much to offer us as we have him. He won me over last season, and he's the type of player who would thrive working under the great MON, and in the current formation. Bring him onboard.

Milner must be gutted to have missed out on the Villa revolution currently starting up,has he missed his chance (through no fault of his own) Wiil there be more funds for perhaps more interesting signings come January ? Kentvillan, I also thought Gabby Abby was more than useful on Sunday, caused problems early on for Konchesky, won the corners where we exerted all the early pressure, admittedly did show signs of tiring later on
fatloser
I agree with glensider. The time to get him will be January, when MON can assess how the team has performed over the first half of the season.

Thonk you will find out that he will end up a little further south than you guys, maybe somewhere a little closer to London but he's definatley going somewhere.

Hmm... who was it who said this would happen, on the 'Milner deal fallen through' story? oh yes it was me... Will we get him cheaper now because of Newcastles stupidity :)
industrial_musical
