Milan Baros To Do Business For Villa

I'd forgotten about the results of this poll asked by ExpatVillaShirt!

He asked, will Milan Baros do the business for Aston Villa this season?

78% said yes, he's top class and will do well with O'Neill as manager.

9% said he will be the same as last season weighing in with 10-12 goals.

5% said that Gabriel Agbonlahor and Luke Moore are better prospects and the remaining 8% said he won't do the business and will be sold.

I think, with a quality playmaker like Petrov, we'll see a difference in Baros; and Juan Pablo Angel for that matter, because if you give them the supply, they will bury the ball in the back of the net. With the right set up and no more hoofing balls up, both are capable of 20 goals.

Baros is now back to fitness and could be pushing for a place in this weekends match against West Ham.

Gareth Barry said: "Milan's a quality player and you want to have all your quality players available to have the best chance in games. There was talk of him moving on in the summer, but that was the case with a few players. He's still here and he'll be looking to do as well, if not better, than he did last season."

Adding: "The strikers, like everyone in the team, have been working hard this season and it will give us another option to have Milan fit and raring to go. We didn't score enough goals last season and that's something collectively we want to put right this time. Milan certainly adds to our potential."

I would like to see a 4-4-2 with Baros and Angel up front, I think this weekend is a little too soon for baros to start. So for me the starting line up should have only one change (Petrov for Davis)

Well I think we can safely say if MON can't get Baros firring then no one will. Personally I think Baros & JPA will both have very good seasons, as you say Petrov will help the supply no end. UTV!!!

Great to have him back. In my opinion he should start at West Ham. Always play your best players, thats my view, and we'll need our best players out there on Sunday, if we're to get anything from this one. He can be a handfull for any defence.

On his day he is a class act. The problem is consistency I'm afraid.

I'm hoping he gives Juan Pablo some competition and they both spur each other on. A Liverpool-supporting mate of mine thinks they're too similar as players to be in the same starting line up but I disagree - Juan is more of a poacher, though he seems to have been doing a lot of the setup play and running from midfield of late, and Milan's a lazy git. Well he would say that as a Reds fan :o) I say bring on a rejuvenated midfield and they'll both score a bagload. Bring on the Hammers ! UTV !

Dunno how hell end up in the fold, Gabby, Angel and Moore are a good triple threat combo up front. Good to have him back though
