South American Hot Shot Linked

South American Hot Shot Linked

Another reported target, according to the players agent, is Javier Saviola.

According to Alfredo Cabrera, Aston Villa have made an offer for the Barcelona striker.

The 24-year-old, who has been out of favour at the Camp Nou and spent time on loan at both Monaco and Sevilla, has just one year left on his contract.

the South American's agent said, when asked about Villa, 'It is true. We have options in Spain, England and Italy, but there will not be definitive movement until Wednesday.'

I think he would be better value than Defoe.

My friend who is a journalist confirmed what we already know: they sit in a pub all afternoon, invent stories then stagger back to the office and write them up as fact. I'll believe it when I see these guys wearing a Villa shirt. We haven't even signed Petrov yet.

We need a bigger SQUAD and need to add real quality to what we have already got so it is inevitable that some players will be rested, suspended, injured or dropped. Im afraid if we want to challemge domestically and in europe then this is what must happen. Its the same at Arsenal, Man utd, Liverpool and Chelsea.

always thought Aston Martin liked to have a big target man upfront which i think u would agree neither defoe or saviola are however they are both tricky and cleaver strikers and have quality so would welcome either of them

Agree with you deemz, the squad needs strengthening and in all area's (2 Strikers, Attacking Midifielder, Holding Midifielder, Right Wing, Left Back, Central Defender) to help with what's already there. It is good to see we are being linked with players that will hopefully improve the squad rather than just add to the numbers as seemed to be the case with DOL and Herbert. I think we have left it to late to do any major deals, (Tevez & Mascharone).

this is the vital villa site isnt it (not vital real madrid?). Before the takeover we were being linked with carl cort and jason koumas. Would love Saviola but sometimes agents say this to drum up extra interest. Keep the dream alive.
