'If It's Football, It's Vital'

DOL International Fury

Whilst Baros has been racing to be fit in time for our derby clash against Blues, it seemed he was almost a certainty to start for the Czech Republic in their must win game against Finland last night. Thankfully for us he remained an unused substitute.

'It was painfull when I tried to train, I still have today to try to recover though.' said Baros speaking yesterday. 'This match may change our careers. We must give our maximum and win three points. There's no other way.'

After missing two of our Premiership games, Chelsea and Boro, he then left to go on international duty and played 90 minutes in the Czech's two-nil defeat against Holland; it obviously aggravated the injury and he missed training on Sunday.

DOL fumed: 'The rules have changed, it used to be that if a player didn't play on the last Saturday in the league you kept him. That's not the case now. They have to be sent and no matter how much you pay them, their national team can keep them and play them.

Then, after two weeks, they can flog them to death and send them back to you still crocked. I know the team I want to play, I'm just desperate to play it.'

Thoroughly enjoyed that game, most entertaining! Spurs on the other hand, with only 1 win in 19 at Villa Park, might not have enjoyed it quite so much.
