'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Davis Is 'Quality'

James Milner, who is currently on a season long loan at Aston Villa has praised his fellow midfielder 'Steven Davis is a quality player and he is showing it'.

Rumours have circulated that Sir Alex Ferguson is tracking the Northern Ireland international midfielder and it appears that Villa are looking at tying the youngster to a long term deal, especially now he has added goals to his game. Davis is currently Villa's top scorer with five goals.

Milner, who was subject to a ridiculous report last weekend claiming O'Leary might try a £1million bid to bring the on loan star to Villa permanently, said: 'Steven is a quality player and he is showing it. No-one needs to say anything about him because he is just doing the business on the pitch and that´s the best way to do it. He comes in for training, works hard and gets on with his football and that´s what you have got to do. He is a great lad as well and enjoys his football.'
