Hurrah - Some Good Villa News...!

HURRAH!!!

SOME GOOD VILLA NEWS...........

YES, sit down, we've got some good news coming!

Danish international Martin Laursen is set to return to action TONIGHT.

YES, I DID SAY TONIGHT.

Hats off to you Laursen, I'm sure I'm on safe ground to say that ALL Villa fans wish you all the best for the coming season.

Laursen will feature in the reserves as they take on Chasetown FC for a pre-season friendly tonight.
He has succesfully returned from a career threatening knee injury and will hopefully have a 45-minute session tonight.

French midfielder Mathieu Berson will also play despite the Welsh Echo the other day insisting he had left !!

VILLA: Olejnik, Lund, Green, Laursen, O'Halloran, Berson, Kabeya, D.Bellon, Williams, Osbourne, MacDonald. Subs: (from) Morgan, Henderson, Lowry, McGurk, Y.Bellon, Panayiotou, Georgiou

Good luck to him - I hope the knee holds up. Are you sure the Welsh Echo didn't mean Baaaarson?

All we can do is wish the guy the very best of luck. He certainly deserves it. No doubt he has to overcome the doubts and concerns that he has in his head, and getting 45 minutes or so under his belt will be a huge step forward for him. Hopefully we are on the verge of exciting times once again at Villa Park, and obviously Martin very much wants to be a part of it. Its fingers crossed time folks.

Even if he is back and fit then he would only be my 4th choice. The guy hasnt played any football for 2 years and is likely to break down again at any point.
