'If It's Football, It's Vital'

James Milner No Go

Newcastle United boss Glenn Roeder has categorically stated that he does not want to lose players and says despite the rumours, James Milner is very much in his plans.

The winger had a season long loan at Aston Villa and we were linked with a permanent move for him before we all remembered Villa have got no money!

Roeder said: 'Rumours are a daily thing in football - that is all they are. It is not just James, there are rumours about several other of our players. I am trying to add numbers, I do not want to lose any players, we cannot afford to.'
'James has been involved in all three of our pre-season games, is very versatile and so there would be no reason whatsoever for me to want to lose James Milner. But you cannot stop speculation and rumours - it goes with the territory of this football club.'

So there you go folks, no Milner. Don't think we expected it to happen anyway did we!?

According to SSN interview with Aitken, there will be no transfers in or out until takeover situation is resolved

There's a surprise! Takeover rears it's head again just in time for the (no) transfer window.

He's not my idea of a villa player anyway. Fast, mobile, agile, skillfull. He would never fit in.

Soon as Michael Owen got injured this was on the cards

I'd given up on the possibility of any deal for young James weeks ago, just as I've given up on expecting any new faces until Ellis is 'long time gone'. Hell, thinking about it, I've just given up completely as far as AVFC is concerned.

No new faces no takeover, we could be in deep do do come January, especially if as looks more and more likely Ellis is to appoint a new manager. Go old man for the love of God please go.

SSN said that A-Hole Still MAY have been at VP to discuss Sven Gormless Eriksson becoming our next manager, rather than as part of a consortium. Which would make you think that Doug is looking to appoint the new manager

Another quality player down the pan.
