Angel and Milner Swap Deal?

Angel and Milner Swap Deal?

Another very sketchy rumour doing the rounds in the press, and I must admit, I really am scratching around for any Villa FOOTBALL news.

Anyway, some reports are suggesting that Villa might still be trying to obtain the services of James Milner from Newcastle United. Obviously the winger spent last season on loan at Villa Park but it seemed that any potential move for him went when David O'Leary departed, or even before that as we don't have the money and the Magpies didn't seem that interested in selling him.

However now the rumour says he will come to Villa and Columbian striker Juan Pablo Angel will move in the opposite direction.

Probability rating? 2 out of 10!

Angel will come good if given a run in the side. If this takeover comes through we will probably be buying ronaldinho and kaka and the thought of us having a non galactico like Milner will make us laugh untill we wee.

Angel is still the best finisher at the club even better than phillips, he just needs service.

if stories are true and Angel was one of the protagonists behind the statement then he should always be considered to be a villa hero. i wonder what him and DOL talk about over the garden fence now?

I like him as much as I hate him! Does that make sense? Does anything Villa make sense at the moment?!

Keep JPA. He's still got a lot to offer. Let a new manager evaluate him and make the decision as to whether he stays, or whether he moves on. Well said tylervilla. Comment of the day I would imagine.

He's always been a good player, but i don't think he gets the time on the ball in the prem he needs to be able to play at his best. He'd be great in a slower league. Had one good season before he got his pay rise. Milner would be a great player to have lets not forget he's still realy young.

I say put Berson and Davis behind Angel and Moore with Barry on the left and Hendry on the right and we should score a bucket full of goals. This midfield lineup would give loads of support to the front two, Angel is good in the air and a great finnisher and Moore is the type of quick striker to scare defenses and could well pick up some good ball from Angel's airial prowes. Berson adn Barry would supply the distribution with Hendry adn Davis supplying the runs and attacking momentum, only problem is that it does look a bit lightweight defensively but then Davis is improving there and with the option of McCan't and DJ*2 things can easily be switched around. I wonder if Aitkin wants a temporary assistant in his temporary position as manager.....I'll do it ;o)
