The Villa Dirty Dozen?
Aston Villa chairman (for now?) Doug Ellis has told the Daily Express that there are twelve managers attempting to take the vacant Villa hot seat.
He said:
'There are about 12 candidates to be our manager at the moment and they are very good ones. I am supposed to be on holiday, but I have been living on the phone for the past week. I have been working my guts out. On Sunday night I was working until well after midnight. I want to sort everything out as soon as possible.'
Well boo bloody hoo! I'm sure most Villa fans want him to sort things out as quickly as possible as well, but not the managers post, just his post!
Be lovely to know the list, is it the same list he released a few years ago about the sort of players Villa 'should' buy?!??!
No sensible top manager, especially one in a job already, will come to Villa whilst it is under so much takeover uncertainty and whilst Ellis remains surely?
Obviously former manager Brian Little and caretaker boss Roy Aitken have both thrown their hat into the ring, as have I !!!!!!!

There might be twelve names on Ellis' managerial hot list, but realistically you get the feeling that any appointment other than a certain Martin O'Neill will not go down too well with the masses.

Did anyone see him on Sky Sports News when they were trying to get an interview off him? what an embarrassment. He is really showing his age, and was having trouble getting into the car. A bloke that age, with his trousers up to his chin, should never be running a football club

I have to say that between the tears of laughter rolling down my face during the attempted interview at Birmingham Airport, I did have to cringe at just what a dick that bloke really is !!!!
