Villa Message Is Loud & Clear

Well the message is loud and clear Mr Ellis. Fans no longer (if most ever did) have faith in you. As my banner declares, 13 managers (GT twice obviously) and still no success.

We asked if any big name manager would come to Villa whilst Doug remains in power. A massive 69% said no way.

15% conceded that 'possibly' one might be tempted and just 16% said yes.

I dont trust him to attract a big name manager unless he gets O'Neil ;o)

He hasn't managed it so far so why would this time be any different. I think it'll be a case of a desperation choice, which worries me and makes me think we'll end up with Sou-mess or Hoddle

I think that surely even Ellis now realises that his time at Villa Park is all but up. The B6 job has to be viewed as a poisoned chalice while he remains, by all top quality managers who might otherwise be attracted to the job. Time for all interested takeover individuals/consortiums to push on aggressively. The old boy is rocking on his feet. Now is not the time for kid gloves.
