The Whole Board Are Clowns?

The Whole Board Are Clowns?

Part of me feels sorry for O'Leary - he backed the players but 'acted against the best interests' of the club by going public with the story....

It makes upsetting reading - the whole board are a bunch of clowns - not only Ellis but Steve Stride, David Owen, Steven Kind - they all have to go - the latter 3 are Ellis puppets and 'Yes' men + it's plane to see why former executives (Langham - who was his own man) have left.

Fan pressure groups have to really apply the pressure on the board 'big style' and fans in general will not have the wool pulled over their eyes this time -regardless
of who comes in, season tickets sales will not improve - but fans must somehow demonstrate.....??

The best demonstrations are empty stands?? but has any fan got the bottle to do this? Sometimes fans don't realise how much power they actually have.

Just look at Manchester Utd last year a section of fans revolted but it didn't make any difference...those were the fans who really cared for there club and fair play to them. All it may take is to boycott 1 home league match JUST 1! and there could well be big changes!?!! Ellis' pockets will be dented and the national press could have a field day.

Weds 23rd Aug - boycott or not - demonstrate and make our message to the board loud and clear!

PRESS : Please investigate further into the inadequacies of the way the club is run!
FAN GROUPS: Keep demonstrating against the board, make our voices heard!
Great work Tim Nash - keep it up - we want our club back!!

Understand fully where you are coming from, but disagree entirely. We now have an opportunity for change. There is one man who is so awesome, he can deliver change with the current Board still in place. If we can get him he knows wider change would follow and the season ticket sales and fervour he would generate would themselves be a huge catalyst for confidence and for potential buyers to come falling over their feet to get involved in the glorious opportunity that is Aston Villa. To help this happen it is not now the time to be talking of boycotts on August 23rd. It is the time for fans to show huge support for Villa and their massive desire and demand for our potential new Leader. Things can happen very quickly. Walsall this Saturday is the first big opportunity. Show your support. Martin O Neill, your Empire awaits.

DID D'OL "back the players"? In every respect? There are rumblings and grumblings at VP that to my mind are now partly cleared now D'OL has gone - phew! Doug should also have gone at the same time, but perhaps - just perhaps - that will happen soon. In the meantime, I agree with stennyvilla that we should look forwards and not keep harping on about what's happened. Whether Martin O'Neill can operate with Doug - well, if Doug manages to convince him that a new board with money is about to come in, then Martin may be impressed enough to hang around till it happens. But will Doug be telling all the truth...?

Everyone seems convinced that Martin O'Neil is the be all and end all, the answer to all of our hopes and dreams. Agree 100% though with Basim Zaidi, when the takeover happens, all of the Ellis yes men have to be sent on their merry way. They've had the opportunity to influence the old man over the years, yet have merely sat by and gone with the flow.

£200,000+ a year turns a lot of men into "yes" men!

Nobody wants the job while Ellis is still there ! who would want to work for him ??? managers need to turn the job down, I know I would. I for one wont be going to Reading at home. The thing is most, not all, Villa fans are fickle. Ellis will appoint someone else, give him some cash and everyone will go quiet AGAIN !

I AGREE COMPLETLY WITH STENNYVILLA.IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY SOMETHING BUT IT DOES NOT LOOK NICE,YOU LOOK ELSEWHERE.IF IT LOOKS GOOD, YOUR MORE LIKLEY TO BUY. IVE SAID IT MANY TIMES BEFORE,A FULL VILLA PARK WITH GOOD VOCAL SUPPORT IS AN ATTRACTIVE SELLING FEATURE. THE WAY THE CLUB IS AT THE MOMENT, ANY BOYCOTTS MAY JUS TIP VILLA OVER THE EDGE.I SAY PROTEST ..YES OUTSIDE THE GROUND, BOYCOTT NO.

Martin O'Neill has about as much class as a school that has been shut down due to a pupil shortage. He could be the worst thing to ever happen to Villa, but I can't elaborate at the current time, sadly.

Agree with glensider. Some people are already starting to fall for the Ellis tricks. Get them talking about the new manager and dreaming of who it could be, and they'll forget about the chairman. Sorry Doug, it won't wash this time. The whole point of this mess seems to have forgotten, as Doug planned, in that the statement which obviously does exits, despite mutterings from the club, has never actually been addressed. There are problems raised within that statement which we all know to be true and Ellis is trying to hide behind the manager's sacking...again. It is the points raised in that article which need to be addressed before we can start looking at who takes over

The only clown here is you Mr. Basim Zaidi. Its attitudes like the one that you carry makes supporting the Villa a public discrace. We air our dirty laundry in public time after time because of the tactless vocal fans (Mr. Basim Zaidi) we have. We now need to get behind the board (who, by the way i've never seen wear oversized shoes or face paint) and back the new manager. If we dont relagation surely beckons. "Please investigate further into the inadequacies of the way the club is run!" Yeah, good idea, lets make sure no manager worth his salt will want the job. Good work - Mr. Basim Zaidi.
