Curbishley Out Of Villa Race?

One potential manager out of the race already?

Well, according to WHVilla on the message board, Alan Curbishley, who is evens to become the next Villa boss, has ruled himself out of the running on BBC Radio Five Live.

Hmmm, so just who would come and work for Ellis whilst there are no funds and an 82 year old in ill health who can't even be bothered to be in the country as the club descends into crisis?

I might apply actually, do a bad job for 12 months and get a £1m pay off. Nice work.

Could be worth a go for a nice little pay off. Hmm... Good luck with the application, sir!

The prospect of Alan Curbishley as manager at Villa Park thrills me about as much as it did when we signed him as a player from Birmingham City back in the 80's. He was far from a success then, I dont see anything that he's achieved to date that would suggest he might be any more successful now, in the managers role.

You will have some competition for the managers job...I am preparing my CV as we speak. Aston Uni 7 -a side league winners medal, european cups on champ manager and grade B at GCSE Physical Education....Stand aside

Well I'll beat you all to the job as I'm willing to do it for as little as half a mill. I klnow how Doug loves to save money. :o)

you dont want alan curbishley he's rubbish! you will be in exactly the same position in 5 yrs time if he's manager! he's never won anything and ridiculously overrated in my opinion...

Not gutted about the Curbishley news in all honesty. O'Neill has to come and Ellis has to go. European Champions of the past managed by a European Champion of the past with an assistant manager who has won it and Sid on the staff... things are looking up....oh Ellis is still here.

Can't say I would be devastated not to get Curbs. There's only one really outstanding candidate which is Martin O'Neill
