'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rambo Takes On The Circus

Alan McInally, or Rambo as Villa fans named him, has joined in the chorus of disapproval at the Doug Ellis regime saying the club has been turned into a 'circus'.

The former Villa striker told Sky Sports News

'Unfortunately it is becoming a bit of a circus. We haven't won anything for such a long time and you know we have really struggled. Obviously we have stayed in the big division but have struggled to make any sort of impact at all. It is a real shame that at somewhere like Aston Villa you get this letter from the players and they are not happy with the chairman. You have to understand that Aston Villa is very close and for Deadly, that is his life and he wants to be sure everything is ok there. But there does have to come a point where the club has to go forward and, if you do want to keep up with the Jones', money has to be spent.'

He continued about David O'Leary: 'You can't just go out and think you are going to get someone on loan that is going to make a difference and you do have to speculate. I am not saying go and break the bank and spend all the money. It will be a personal decision from David if he wants to stay on what is obviously a rocky ship at the moment. It is not good for a football player or a manager when nobody seems to know which direction the club is going in.'

'People have to pull together at Aston Villa and I want to see them do well next year but to be honest, if you were a betting man right now, you wouldn't be betting on Aston Villa to finish in the middle of the league.'

Sad but true. We are 9/2 to go down, we used to be 9/2 to win the league. David O'Leary has done little to help the situation but Doug Ellis is the menace of B6.

I'm being interviewed on Sky Sports News at 5pm this afternoon, as the Villa fans chef I think I'll read out a recipe for my prawn stir fry.

The latest is that the players, through David O'Leary, have requested a meeting with the Chairman after his furious reaction to a statement that all or some of the players released to the press. No matter how much the club deny any players were involved, THERE WERE players involved! Be nice if they were named as they are heroes to a man and should have statues built in their honour - ok, the heat is getting to me, maybe just a round of applause when we next meet up with them at Villa Park or even a rousing Hurrah, Hurrah!

Give Ellis hell Mr Fear.

This is great, it looks as though we have some momentum building. Put the icing on the cake Fear.

Can you let us know what you say in the interview? The players need protecting. I wonder what is the best that can come of this situation....

Our great club has been reduced to nothing more than a pantomine and the show's almost over. Only the final curtain remains, HDE's demise or relegation!!!

Everyone is starting to jump on board and criticise Ellis. JG and McInally were both on Sky doing it, now we just need GT and Big Ron to spill the beans and the presure will be unbearable

Got a lot of time for McInally. Talks a lot of sense, and obviously still cares passionately for the club. When people of his standing speak on the VP issue, it gets tremendous media coverage. And that right now, is exactly what we need.
