Well according to the official site, he returned for pre-season training this morning ( Thursday 13th July) and set straight to work. Let's face it, if we want to get anything for him, we have to have someone who is well trained and able to play football or we might as well cancell his contract but we should be able to get at least £500,000 for him, well worth the effort of training him a bit. I know it's less than we paid for him but it's better than nothing. Personally i think he and Berson should be given a chance, otherwise why did we waist money on buying them and paying their wages? I know that DJ*2 has not really impressed but then niether do many Arsenal players until they are given an extended run in the team. I'm not saying that he should start every game but bring him on regularly or alternate with others so that all our midfielders can get used to playing together. Personally I'd like to see Berson played alongside Davis in the centre of the park with Barry on the left but I am at a loss for the right side, Gardener maybe? If we then need more steel in the centre, sub Davis with DJ*2 (or McCann if he can get his act together again) We need Berson as all except for him and Barry appear to have forgotten how to pass the ball.

Totally agree VOTN. We are never going to be able to properly judge DJ x2 or any of the "squad (!)" players until they are given a decent run in the team. From what I've heard Berson did well in France last season and every time he's played for Villa, he's looked ok. You can't expect a guy who has played football in France all of his life to suddenly adapt to the Prem which is totally different. Djemba may well turn out to be the turd we all think he is but until we give him a decent run in the team surely it's unfair to judge him? Although you can't excuse his stupid antics for disappearing again, I think if I was him, I would be starting to think "what's the point" because no matter what he does, he's not going to oust O'Leary's favourites. Davis needs a rest at times so instead of playing players out of position, DOL needs to start using the players who HE spent so long chasing and brought into the club. Just think, if he hadn't wasted that money on Djemba and Berson, he could have bought James Milner...
