'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Just like 3 new signings!

In news that I am sure will lighten the mood of even the greatest cynic, it is with great pride that I pass on the message coming from the Official website.

Berger, Delaney and Laursen have all taken part in the full training session today having spent the vast majority of last year on holiday, oh sorry...injured.

Does anyone fancy starting a Vital Villa sweepstake on who will get injured first?

son_of_cher
berger who? forgot u even signed him! above comment sums it up really!
elmo85
I think Laursen will stay fit until at least 5 o'clock tonight. Berger might make 4.30 if no-one tackles him
DougInABox
Berger? Doesn't he play for Portsmouth or Liverpool still?? - As for Laursen? I thought he played in Italy?!! I've never herd of that Delaney bloke, send him back to where he came from, he's ugly enough and looks like he should play in Cardiff or somewhere!
leelindsay
Well at least Delaney is back, that is good news!
Villain Of The North
Delaney will leave Villa before deadline day anyway, and will probably be on Blackburn or Middlesbroughs treatment table. Laursen will go back to AC milan and they will give us Gattuso in return and Berger will model for Versace...

Cant deny it would be good to have Delaney and Laursen back. VP is short of catering staff, a job Berger would be good at. Yet to see any REAL signings which is the major concern.
xfranc
All three fully fit, and available for best part of the games would be a big plus. Trouble is we all know it aint gonna happen. They probably havent even seen a football at Bodymoor Heath yet either. When the gentle jogging stops and the footballs come out, that'll be the time to start worrying.

This is a great day, Villa now have 3 new people they could sell for a combined total of..............one million dollars!
NY Villa
Lets just see them perform after a FULL pre season...isn't that the party line
fatloser
Nice to have some fit players.....now some signings please DO'L?!
Tierney
this is a little of post but forest have been linked with wittingham? whats he like, you think he good in league 1, but he also been linked with sunderland and wolves
wallis
This is excellent news for Villa, if they can stay fit fot most of the season I can see you challenging for a Champions League position, then again they are 3 old crocks and if they stand still long enough Ellis will slap a for sale sign on them.
TeddyLyon
How old is patrick berger? no seriously, Im just wondering if he still can realistically play at premiership level at thirty four ish? As for Laursen does he still know how to kick that strange leather round thing?
tylervilla
Apparently the first day of pre-season training was all about that funny looking round leather thing. Rumours that it was David O'Leary's face proved to be unfounded. It turned out it was a football and the rest of the day was spent showing how to put it between those funny white sticks...many thought Peter Crouch was back!
