Majority Not Renewing Next Season

Vital Villa asked, in a poll suggested by tylervilla, how bad is the boycott/season ticket sales situation?

We have part answered that today via a statement from the Trust.

The poll results back up the claim that only 11 000 tickets have been sold despite the spin and bluster (and little else) coming out of Villa Park.

Only 32% (me included I'm afraid!) have renewed.

2% said they will not renew with a further (and alarming) 48% saying they are boycotting until Ellis and/or David O'Leary goes.

The remaining 18% will be picking and choosing their games this season.

For the love of everything Claret and Blue, get this club some new owners Doug or find the finance to bring in the right players, if not we are Championship bound.

Season tickets will be so much cheaper when you are mid table in the Championship, re the stand burn it down and build a new one, erase all memories.

Get rid of him or you will be joining your buddies Birmingham in the fizzy pop league next season.

Like many others I question whether Ellis really wants to sell. Niall Quinn has got together a £50 million consortium to takeover Sunderland, who can't approach what we can past or present. But as for the future, Ellis is determined to drag us down to that level.

What, if anything, have Rothschilds been doing? Was that just more Ellis propaganda? If they can't find buyers then nobody will. The man has almost single handedly ruined OUR club...and the only way I can see him letting go of his stranglehold over the Villa is when he is carried out in a big wooden box

If Doug Ellis is a true Villa fan why is he looking to sell his shares? He is financially secure as is his family. He has by all accounts not too long left to live so surely to show his true devotion to Villa he should donate his shares to the club thus realeasing £20 to £30 million capital for the club to invest....... then he would be remembered as he would wish and have a true claim to having a stand in his name.

Old habits die hard buck. I'm sure he's the type who'd like to take it with him.
